First Week Review
By Broken
I wonder if Randy has curbed his use of the word "Dawg". I tried to listen to see if he'd belt out with a few, but I didn't spot any during my casual viewing.
At any rate, no one has really impressed me or weirded me out yet. Well, except maybe for Captain Androgynous last night. He's such a sensitive boy...errr, girl...errr...whatever. The rest have just been blah.
The cowboy kid from Wyoming who croons with the turkey's might be fun to watch. I was convinced that Simon wanted to get him to Hollywood so he could get a few free voice lessons. Clearly the kid or his family couldn't get them on their own. There might be something there, but I thought that was really decent of Simon to do that. At least that's how I perceived it.
So, welcome back to season 5. Let the dishing commence.

Bo Knows Idol
By Broken
I think that Vonzell bites it tonight. This whole thing seems to be leading to a Carrie vs. Bo Battle Royale, and that's what the producers seem to want as well. I think Bo takes the whole shebang next week; nothing could have been more bold and went over as well as his solo. Nuff said.

Drah-mah

I see Paula chose to wear one Wonder Woman armband last night. And it was on the side she shares with Randy. The side she shares with Simon was open. Perhaps signifying something a little more? Maybe she's sending a *wink, wink, nudge, nudge* signal to Cowell?
Eww, I just made myself throw up a little in my mouth.
It's clear, though, she's hammer-assed drunk through these shows now. I can't wait until she starts slurring on camera during a live show, then passes out in a pool of her own vomit.
Bottom three - Nadia, woman beater, Federov.
Loser - woman beater (please, hope, hope)

Chicks Beginning to Take Control.
By Broken
The last few weeks have been all about Carrie, Nadia and Vonzell. For a contest in which the guys were supposed to shine, the girls are wiping the mat with them lately. Even Bo is starting to fall week after week.
In accordance with the latest news about the woman beater, I'd rather see him kicked off the show, and luckily, his performance sucked balls. I had very high hopes he'd see the boot, that is, until I heard Federov, who just fell to new lows. The boy cannot sing. At all. So in terms of pure suckage, Federov should go, but I wish the woman beater would get the boot.
My bottom three are woman beater, Federov and I guess Nikko for lack of a better third to pick. Federov loses!

Backsliding
By Broken
Tuesday sucked. I have my favorites, but the rest of the pack is up one week, and crashing and burning the next. There's no consistency. They aren't improving week to week. If someone wants to seriously challenge Bo or Carrie, then they'd better figure out how very quickly.
Bo wasn't good this week, but he's allowed an off performance in my book. He's got alot of good Idol karma saved up, so I give him a pass. Constantine saved himself for one more week, dammit. Scott - you've got to BLEED emotion into that microphone if you want a shot at the title. You won't win, but still...give it some effort, man. I'm not going to comment on everyone, so my final three will be Scott, Federov, and Jessica, with Federov saying sayonara.

Second Verse, Same as the First
By Broken
I think we all know by now that the Nanny should have been gone by now. Whether it was 'voting irregularity' or outright fraud, tonight's result should be a mirror of what was supposed to be. Mikalah will be forcibly returned to the New Jersey hole from which she was birthed. And there will be much rejoicing.

The Fast Train to BuhByeville.

Last night was a snooze fest until Nadia, then Bo lit the place up. Based on the performances, I say Lindsay and Anthony should go. Especially Anthony. He really stunk it up. But Nikko will probably be the big loser. Back in and back out again.

The Boys of Slumber
By Broken
Overall, tonight was just kind of blah for me. However, just like last week, there were two who moved in directions I didn't expect. Nikko brought his game up a notch with his performance. He gets better each week, which is all you can expect. On the other side, Anthony Federov continues his downward slide. Everyone was all ready to crown him the next American Idol, and maybe he's still Top 5 material, but barely. Not good for him tonight.
That being said, this contest is (for the boys) really between Mario and Anwar. Barring a catastrophe, it'll be one of them in the last two.

Change in Direction
By Broken
For me tonight, two people I didn't expect to move in my personal poll of the event changed position radically. First, Mikalah Gordon plummeted. And I mean hard. I thought she could pull off this contest before tonight, but she just sounded like she was channeling Fran Drescher. It was wretched. On the other hand, Aloha Mischeaux came from way behind to go into my Top 5 for the girls. I didn't know she had that kind of performance in her. Looking forward to good things from Aloha.
In other news, I missed Paula's protective Wonder Woman armbands tonight. What would have happened if the judges had been attacked? How would she have deflected any bullets without them?!

No More Whitney
By Broken
Please, please just stop. Stop now. Stop picking Whitney Houston songs to try and demostrate the "range" you think you have. I hate to admit it, but as much as I despise that creepy crack-addled whore, she can (or at least could at one time) sing better than almost anyone. Any Idol wannabe who therefore picks one of her songs is just digging their own grave at light speed. You can't ever measure up to her range, nor can you even hope to improve on her song, so why even try? It's a one way road to failureville.
