4/25

By Michele

I believe we are looking at classic love songs tonight. Oh, yay.

LOL...

I thought I was here by myself.

Posted by: Tammy at April 25, 2006 08:03 PM

Well, I'm sold! I'm ordering my tickets to the next Andrea Bocelli concert RIGHT NOW!

Oh, and good evening, everybody!

Posted by: Jaquandor at April 25, 2006 08:04 PM

Man, anyone else here tonight? Anyway, Katherine's doing very well, even though I don't much like this song.

Posted by: Jaquandor at April 25, 2006 08:09 PM

She always sounds great...but for some reason, she just gets on my nerves.

Posted by: Tammy at April 25, 2006 08:10 PM

Honestly, I thought the judges were being rather harsh with Katharine. Yes, she was quite pitchy in the beginning, but overall, I thought she did a pretty good job. Those comments could mean the end of the road for her and those wonderful breasts, but that remains to be seen — we've still got five singers to go.

Posted by: Samit at April 25, 2006 08:15 PM

Jeez...where is everybody?

Posted by: Samit at April 25, 2006 08:19 PM

This is the first time that Elliott's really impressed me. It's like he went to K-mart and bought himself some of that "stage presence" stuff they're always talking about.

Posted by: Jaquandor at April 25, 2006 08:20 PM

Everyone appears to be in hiding...it's kinda weird. I'll email Beth and see if I can find her.

Posted by: Tammy at April 25, 2006 08:20 PM

Why the fuck is Paula crying? WTF?!

Posted by: Jaquandor at April 25, 2006 08:21 PM

HOLY COW
HOLY COW
sorry for the caps
holy cow
paula paula paula????

Posted by: Chad at April 25, 2006 08:22 PM

Yeah, I thought Elliott was awesome, but for me, it's "awesome as usual." It was absolutely fantastic. Some of those runs...man, that takes talent. Great stuff.

Posted by: Samit at April 25, 2006 08:22 PM

Hi gang, big TV night so I just got to Idol. That Paula incident is going to be HUGE. Mark my words everyone will be talking about it tomorrow. EVERYONE.

Posted by: Chad at April 25, 2006 08:22 PM

Well, now that Ace is gone, she's gotta heap praise on somebody...

Posted by: Samit at April 25, 2006 08:26 PM

Awww, shit. Pickler's breasts aren't shiny tonight. And frankly, my brain is about to explode from all the possible jokes about "playing pottery" running through it.

Posted by: Jaquandor at April 25, 2006 08:29 PM

Zzz. Kellie's putting me to sleep. Pass the kool-aid.

Posted by: Chad at April 25, 2006 08:29 PM

It keeps getting worse and worse. Oh my god. Oh my god. When's the Hale Bop comet comingback around?

Posted by: Chad at April 25, 2006 08:30 PM

This sucks. It sucks. It sucks. Boring, occasionally out of tune, dull, shitty. It sucks. Her hair looks ridiculous. Her breasts have no shine.

Pure shit.

Posted by: Jaquandor at April 25, 2006 08:30 PM

Jesus, that was boring. And pitchy. And dispassionate.

Posted by: Samit at April 25, 2006 08:31 PM

They are shiney after all.

Posted by: Chad at April 25, 2006 08:31 PM

Oh, fuck, Paula, just say that IT SUCKED. Jee-bus.

Posted by: Jaquandor at April 25, 2006 08:32 PM

Amen Simon.

Posted by: Chad at April 25, 2006 08:32 PM

Well, everyone agrees about this one. Ick.

Posted by: Tammy at April 25, 2006 08:32 PM

I didn't see any shine! Must have been really muted shine, then. Maybe I need to adjust the shine on my teevee?

(Come to think of it, why doesn't my teevee have a setting to add shine to breasts?)

Posted by: Jaquandor at April 25, 2006 08:34 PM

Hey Everyone! Sorry I was late. I was coaching my monsters soccer game.

Kellie was mediocre. I'm glad the judges agreed. Missed kat and Elliot. I've got Tivo so I'll get to them in the commercials.

Posted by: Chris at April 25, 2006 08:35 PM

Hey Chris, just wait till you see Paula's review of Elliott. Oh, and Katharine's dress :p

Posted by: Chad at April 25, 2006 08:35 PM

Hey Chris!

Posted by: Tammy at April 25, 2006 08:36 PM

Ok, just reviewed Katherine. My first impression was Kat has her toys out! Wow, put those things away, this is a family show! I'm biased because I detest Whitney Houston. Still, not too bad. The dress rocked though!

Posted by: Chris at April 25, 2006 08:37 PM

Paris is up. I hate her outfit. But what a voice...not my favorite song, but she's doing well with it. I'm still not convinced by her as a performer, though -- I just never feel authenticity from her. Still, pretty good.

Posted by: Jaquandor at April 25, 2006 08:40 PM

Gosh, I like Elliot's voice. He's great. But he is definitely radio, not video. No stage presence at all.

Posted by: Chris at April 25, 2006 08:40 PM

Wow, Paula is spot on tonight. Shocking

Posted by: Chad at April 25, 2006 08:40 PM

The guest artists all seem to love Paris...I still remember Brian May of Queen saying, "The thing about Paris is...she's damn good!" It's the same story this week, except the vocal this week was just good...nothing too special.

Posted by: Samit at April 25, 2006 08:40 PM

Wow, the cast is really feuding tonight. Ryan said he no longer speaks to Paula.

Posted by: Chad at April 25, 2006 08:41 PM

Wow, Paula is already over the juice-o-matic and is after Elliot.

Posted by: Chris at April 25, 2006 08:43 PM

I'm curious about Taylor's and Chris' song choices...they don't seem like the "love song type" to me.

Posted by: Samit at April 25, 2006 08:43 PM

Paris: Sounded good. Real good. Very good. Top of the night. Still, the bullseye is now on her.

Posted by: Chris at April 25, 2006 08:46 PM

this song always makes me cry.

Posted by: Chad at April 25, 2006 08:47 PM

Simon is in a pissy mood. Wow. I guess he's tired of being cut off.

Posted by: Chris at April 25, 2006 08:47 PM

Wow..this is disappointing. But Paris was status-quo fab tonight.

Posted by: C. Rose at April 25, 2006 08:48 PM

Yup
Totally agree with them

Posted by: Chad at April 25, 2006 08:50 PM

Taylor: So So so at the start. Brought it home though. Still the one to beat in the competition.

Posted by: Chris at April 25, 2006 08:50 PM

Taylor: I'd love this guy singing "Itsy Bitsy Spider". I love how he always starts out "singing it straight", and then he ratchets it up. Awesome.

Too bad the lapels on his jacket reminded me of Captain Kangaroo.

Oh, and fuck you, Randy. Asshole.

Posted by: Jaquandor at April 25, 2006 08:50 PM

Wow, this is gonna get ugly. They can't get off the air quick enough.

Posted by: Chad at April 25, 2006 08:50 PM

So this is the week when all the judges hate everyone's performance. Pickler was really bad, maybe, just maybe this will be her week to go home. A girl can dream, can't she?

Posted by: Denise at April 25, 2006 08:53 PM

As with Katharine, I thought the judges were unfairly harsh with Taylor. Personally, I thought it was good. Again, though, nothing spectacular...and I guess the judges are trying to stress that that's what you have to be, every week, at this stage of the competition.

Posted by: Samit at April 25, 2006 08:53 PM

Denise, we can only hope.

Posted by: Tammy at April 25, 2006 08:54 PM

It is a good dream Denise, but the bottom 3 will be Kat, Elliot and Paris. Doesn't matter how good or bad. Chris will get the bulk of juice-o-matic's votes and climb back up to the top.

Posted by: Chris at April 25, 2006 08:54 PM

And once again Chris gets musicians on stage with him.

Posted by: Chad at April 25, 2006 08:56 PM

Chris just looks so pissed off whenever he sings.

Posted by: C. Rose at April 25, 2006 08:56 PM

This isn't Chris's best performance. Just "meh" from me.

Posted by: Jaquandor at April 25, 2006 08:56 PM

i give it a bleh

Posted by: Chad at April 25, 2006 08:57 PM

Hm...Chris started out rather pitchy — frankly, it was boring, too — and that made me start to wonder if he can only really hit the notes when he's belting them out in his rock growl. I still think he's great, though...

Posted by: Samit at April 25, 2006 08:57 PM

She has lost it. She's gone. WTF happened to her sanity. Her being paula of course.

Posted by: Chad at April 25, 2006 08:58 PM

Well, hopefully Kat and Paris won;t suffer the bottem three tommorow, god knows they will though. Side note, Paula needs to detox or something. I'm really getting annoyed with her.

Posted by: C. Rose at April 25, 2006 08:58 PM

Chris: Hate the song. Like Chris's version though even though he had the goat voice singing technique.

Posted by: Chris at April 25, 2006 08:58 PM

The judges can collectively screw themselves tonight. God, they sucked almost as badly as Pickler.

Posted by: Jaquandor at April 25, 2006 08:58 PM

There is some real inner-fighting going on.

Posted by: Chad at April 25, 2006 08:59 PM

Ok, Bottom three tomorrow will be the ladies. And leaving is Kellie.

Posted by: Chad at April 25, 2006 09:01 PM

Ok, my ranking:

1. Paris
2. Elliot
3. Katherine
4. Chris
5. Taylor
6. Kellie

Bottom 3 tomorrow, Paris, Elliot Katherine. Elliot goes home.

See you then everyone!

Posted by: Chris at April 25, 2006 09:01 PM

Good night one and all.

Posted by: Chad at April 25, 2006 09:01 PM

I can't predict the bottom three for shit, but my personal bottom three are Pickler, Chris and Paris. 'Night all....

Posted by: Jaquandor at April 25, 2006 09:02 PM

Did anybody else see the panty shot of Katerine at the end of the song. She was singing and stecting and 3 buttons came loose and you could see her panties

Posted by: Mike at April 25, 2006 09:54 PM

I've been scrolling down while the show is on and that's been working pretty well for me tonight.

I don't know what's with the judges tonight, I don't think they're watching the same performances I am.

Loved Katherine. Elliott killed one of my favorite songs. Pickler doesn't even like herself any more. Paris was okay but forced. Taylor was okay. Not Chris' best night, but I hate that song so...

I don't know which singers are going to be voted off, but I'm thinking that Paula's gone next week.

Posted by: Timmer at April 25, 2006 10:00 PM

I know much has been said about Paula but I feel compelled to add. Its bad enough she is on very cheap drugs and cries and cheers and dances and claps but when she interupts it is over the top. They have to talk to her. Seriously. No body should be interupted; even Simon who had the only real crediblity even if harsh. I say get rid of Paula and get David Foster to judge the rest of the season in her place!

Posted by: Darren at April 26, 2006 11:09 AM

No one's opening a thread tonight. I guess we can continue here?

Posted by: Chris at April 26, 2006 09:11 PM

COULD CHRIS ROCK ANY MORE SOCKS?! He IS the American Idol-- got the looks, voice, and star quality. Next is Taylor, outrageously original, then Elliott, who's only disadvantage is his hideousness, and lastly Katherine, who if she could dress and be less annoying could actually be good.
