Voting Night I

By Michele

Please take a moment to peruse our hand-dandy LOSER chart on the right hand side.

I have a question. Has Randy Jackson done anything besides AI in like, oh, the last eight years or so? Is this his career?

I already know Paula has no life besides this and bedding underage contestants.

As Faith pointed out in the comments, Paula is sporting some major cleavage tonight. We think it's for Ace.

Ugh, I hate the group performances.

if anyone wants to get their predictions in, do it now!

Ohhhhh this is interesting. Brenna, Becky and Kinnik.

I really don't like Brenna and Becky, but I picked Kinnik to go.

Ohhhhh please be Becky.

Cool.

But I thought two girls go home?

I have to listen to her sing this again??

Ok, guys turn.

Elliot? He's a leprauchaun.

YES my people are safe.

And Bobby is gone.

I feel bad because he sang the song for his grandma.

Ian, in the comments: Bobby's gonna go home and shoot his grandma. Right between the eyes.

Aaaaaaaaand buh bye Stevie. No big loss.

yay, kevin and chris are safe!

The two guys I picked are left.

Aaaaaaand buh bye Patrick.

Two batteries for me tonight!!!

Paula's got some serious boobage going on tonite. Think she's tryin to get Ace's attention?

Posted by: Faith at February 23, 2006 08:03 PM

dammit I missed both the women!

Posted by: Faith at February 23, 2006 08:20 PM

I would so love BRenna to go. Why am I the only one talking here?

Posted by: Faith at February 23, 2006 08:24 PM

I'm so glad Becky's going, she so got by only on looks this far and she's really just icky.

Posted by: Faith at February 23, 2006 08:26 PM

In fairness, I think Brenna did way better than Becky. But seeing her go won't cause me any heartaches.

Posted by: jen at February 23, 2006 08:27 PM

Michele: I thought it was 2 of each also, but I guess it's just 2 total.

Posted by: Ian S. at February 23, 2006 08:29 PM

Well, Becky isn't the one I would have picked, but ok. I always hate that they make them sing after they get voted off. They get voted off because the *can't* sing. So why make them sing?

Posted by: Denise at February 23, 2006 08:31 PM

Please be Brenna. Please.

Posted by: chris at February 23, 2006 08:31 PM

only becky goes?! but why?

by the way, i live in asia so i will only get to watch the elimination show later today (about 11 hours from now). :D

Posted by: jen at February 23, 2006 08:31 PM

Rats. The hottie is gone. I'm 0 for 1. Any takers on the second lowest? I say Stevie.

Posted by: chris at February 23, 2006 08:35 PM

I can't lose this one! I picked em both!

Posted by: Faith at February 23, 2006 08:37 PM

Between Bobby and Sway. It has to be Bobby.

Posted by: Denise at February 23, 2006 08:37 PM

Yay! No danger of a Savol repeat this year. Batteries for me!

Posted by: Faith at February 23, 2006 08:38 PM

lol The Batteries! I forgot about that from last year.

Posted by: Denise at February 23, 2006 08:39 PM

Bobby's gonna go home and shoot his grandma. Right between the eyes.

Posted by: Ian S. at February 23, 2006 08:40 PM

Bye Bye Bobby. Woo hoo! At least there is some justice tonight. Paula is so nice.

Posted by: chris at February 23, 2006 08:42 PM

Huh, ok, I guess 2 more *are* getting cut - they just did a local news promo for an interview with "the 4 men and women who were cut tonight".

Posted by: Ian S. at February 23, 2006 08:43 PM

Woo hoo! Buy-bye STevie. I'm 2 for 3 tonite. :)

Posted by: Faith at February 23, 2006 08:48 PM

Stevie has a great voice just not for American Idol. Opera is her thing and she'll do it well. If she sticks to it, she'll make good money in it.

Posted by: chris at February 23, 2006 08:49 PM

I cannot STAND Stevie's (speaking) voice. That baby talk makes me want to punch her. See ya, Stevie!

Posted by: Beth at February 23, 2006 08:49 PM

chris: Yup, she's definitely talented, but not a pop star.

Posted by: Ian S. at February 23, 2006 08:51 PM

And I'm pissed because I just tuned in.

I can't even think of which losers Becky and Bobby are! Guess I'll have to look at the last couple days' posts again...

Posted by: Beth at February 23, 2006 08:52 PM

Becky is the Maxim babe who sang very poorly. Bobby was the guy that Satan called to offer a job torturing souls singing Copa Cabana.

Posted by: chris at February 23, 2006 08:53 PM

Thanks...I just looked back and saw that.
I wanted to f'n shoot Bobby in the neck for singing that shit.

OMG, this one had better be that scrawny neck dude.

Posted by: Beth at February 23, 2006 08:55 PM

Fuck yeah! Go home, pencilneck!

Posted by: Beth at February 23, 2006 08:56 PM

Aw that's kinda too bad, PAtrick wasn't too awful. Oh well, 2 for 4 is probably my best record yet.

Posted by: Faith at February 23, 2006 08:57 PM

Pothed stayed? Patrick was way better!

Posted by: chris at February 23, 2006 08:57 PM

He needs a chin implant.
And his singing Melissa Etheridge totally sucked ass.

Posted by: Beth at February 23, 2006 08:57 PM

Learn to spell Chris. Should have been Pothead.

My wife thinks it's cruel to make them sing right after being sent home. I disagreed thinking that it's their last big thing. Give them one last shot to rock. What do y'all think?

Posted by: chris at February 23, 2006 08:58 PM

What? I hate this guy. Better a stoned dime-store bar singer than this dick. I can't help it, the guy just makes my skin crawl.

Posted by: Beth at February 23, 2006 08:59 PM

What teh hell is this skating shit on afterwards???

Must. Find. Remote.

Posted by: Beth at February 23, 2006 09:03 PM

Enjoyed it everyone. See you next week! Remember Pick Pickler! :)

Posted by: chris at February 23, 2006 09:05 PM

Well Michele, Randy Jackson is one of the most request session bass players in the music industry. Since 1996, Randy Jackson has produced for and/or played the bass on albums by Bon Jovi, Richard Marx, Nancy Wilson, Shelia E, Celine Dion, Jean-Luc Ponty, Michael Bolton, NSYNC, Romeo Void, Mariah Carey (toured with her many times), Cher, Kelly Clarkson, Tracy Chapman, etc. He's a busy dude.

Which kinds of gets me since he acts so stupid most of the time. He's an extremely talented producer/bassist. Maybe he should just stay in the studio.

Posted by: T-Steel at February 24, 2006 02:10 AM

Thanks, T-Steel. I had no idea.

Posted by: Michele Catalano at February 24, 2006 04:41 AM

I refuse to believe that either Sheila E or Romeo Void is still recording music.

Posted by: Tanya at February 24, 2006 09:35 AM

Curious you should mention...I had cause to google Sheila E. the other day when Launch threw up "Glamorous Life" and she's big shit in the Latino music community. Grand dame and all that rot.

Posted by: Stacy at February 24, 2006 10:30 AM

Even though I think Bobby doomed himself with Copacabana, I think he handled himself well when he was told he was eliminated. Very gracious.

Did you notice that when Brenna was "safe" that the girl singers in the front row half-heartedly clapped, and a few in the back row didn't clap at ALL?

Posted by: Katie at February 24, 2006 04:28 PM

Shelia E's bigger than Shakira in the Latino commuity. And Brenna... Can I get a triple "yuck" from the choir?

Posted by: T-Steel at February 25, 2006 12:07 AM

I guess I assumed she went the guilt-laden self-loathing jesus-freak way of the rest of Prince's women. It pleases me that she didn't.
