Elimination Night 5/04

By Michele

Ok kids. Let's get your predictions in before the show starts. Who's going home tonight?

Recap, recap, recap. I really wish they would come on, separate the wheat from the chaff and wave good bye to the loser of the night without all this window dressing and hoopla and looking at Scott's face more than we have to.

And now, the group song portion of the program. You may all go pee, put in a load of laundry or take out the garbage now.

Please tell me they're not doing this song (message to you, rudie). Please. Please. Please. I'm going to cry. They just ruined it for me. Totally. That was not necessary.

Hmmmmmmm I bet Scott and Anthony are in the bottom.

Nothing is every straightfoward at this part. So who knows.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

We have to listen to them SING?

Either way, someone who deserves it is going home tonight.

Wow, Seacrest was a little nasty there. Parking the car?

Hah, they cut him off. And Paula wasn't hysterical for him!

I was so bummed I missed the live blogging last night. Urgh, I hate when work interferes with my life.

Anthony. Then Scott next week - forced out by the producers.

Posted by: DonnaK at May 4, 2005 09:00 PM

I think Vonzell's gone....but here's hoping it's Scott

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:01 PM

Forgot... bottom three is Anthony, Vonzell and Scott. I hope.

Posted by: DonnaK at May 4, 2005 09:01 PM

scott looks like such a smug bastard

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:01 PM

As much as Scott repulses me, Anthony's performances were weaker. I'm not going to speculate on what the unlimited voting policy will do to skew the results though.

Posted by: Owen at May 4, 2005 09:03 PM

Oh nononononono they are not singing this as a group song.

Posted by: Faith at May 4, 2005 09:05 PM

Must they subject us to more group songs?

Posted by: Ian S. at May 4, 2005 09:05 PM

Somewhere, Simon & Garfunkel are sitting there, shuddering

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:05 PM

and...for the record....I'm sitting here doing the same

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:06 PM

I really wish Idol would lay off this song. Bo's the only one who's got the emotion right. *sigh*

Posted by: DonnaK at May 4, 2005 09:07 PM

1. After watching the recap, I think Simon was totally going for reverse psychology.

2. Did he say "Your Top Ten?" Wasn't it Top 12 before? Did they cut Mario out of the tour?

3. He's wearing those glasses again.

Posted by: Tanya at May 4, 2005 09:07 PM

Bo is such a fucking HOTTIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Faith at May 4, 2005 09:08 PM

Geez, someone get Paula out of there

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:08 PM

As much as I loathe Hanoi Jane Fonda...JLo simply can't compete...I'm just sayin'.

Posted by: Timmer at May 4, 2005 09:10 PM

i tuned in late .. why did they give her those flowers?

Posted by: Caryss at May 4, 2005 09:10 PM

I'm thinkin' it's Paula's last night.

Posted by: Timmer at May 4, 2005 09:10 PM

Yes, why?

Posted by: Leslie at May 4, 2005 09:11 PM

Paula's last night....scott getting voted off....would you all quit teasing!

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:11 PM

Is everyone watching Prime Time tonight?

Posted by: Leslie at May 4, 2005 09:12 PM

last nite for? sorry all the questions .. it cant be because of these rumours and allegations? thats crazy

Posted by: Caryss at May 4, 2005 09:12 PM

Taaaaake a look at these faces....the more you get to know them, the more you want to kick half of them in their teeth....

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:12 PM

Nope...new episode of Law and Order.

Posted by: Timmer at May 4, 2005 09:12 PM

Anthony safe?!?!?!?! WTF?!

Posted by: Faith at May 4, 2005 09:13 PM

wish HE'D go away....

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:13 PM

WTF?!? Scott is safe?

WTF

WTF

WTF????

Posted by: Slublog at May 4, 2005 09:13 PM

The couch is bottom three.

Posted by: Timmer at May 4, 2005 09:14 PM

Scott and Federov are safe?

Posted by: Ian S. at May 4, 2005 09:14 PM

I'm thinking the couch is a setup.......

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:14 PM

Who's betting the couch isn't the safe zone?

Posted by: DonnaK at May 4, 2005 09:14 PM

i think the ones on the couch are the bottom 3 .. scott cant be safe AGAIN!

Posted by: Caryss at May 4, 2005 09:14 PM

Ooooh, the couch is the bottom! Excellent.

Posted by: Ian S. at May 4, 2005 09:14 PM

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeze let the couch be a setup....pleeze pleeze pleeze

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:14 PM

HAHAHA! Idol is too much!

Posted by: Caryss at May 4, 2005 09:14 PM

Oh, thank you God...

Posted by: Slublog at May 4, 2005 09:15 PM

Thank god. Thank god. Stupid couch trick.

Posted by: Faith at May 4, 2005 09:15 PM

oh c'mon. please. let smug ass scott go.

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:15 PM

Yes! Top three!
Down to only bottom two now? Strange!

Posted by: DonnaK at May 4, 2005 09:15 PM

Bet Ugly Ghetto Scott feels like an ass now. Or is that his face?

Posted by: Faith at May 4, 2005 09:15 PM

I knew he was going to do that. It's gotten so predictable.

Posted by: Tanya at May 4, 2005 09:15 PM

I want them to rerun Scott strutting to the couch over and over and over again.

Posted by: Timmer at May 4, 2005 09:16 PM

I'm with Riley. Please let it be Scott. Oh please...

Posted by: Slublog at May 4, 2005 09:16 PM

omg...we have to listen to them sing next? I guess it's a small price to pay to boot one of their asses....please let it be scott. He can spend his time thinking about what he'll be singing next week.....back in cleveland

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:16 PM

Can't wait to see the Fallen Idol on Prime time tonight. I hope it's not as bad as they say.

Posted by: Leslie at May 4, 2005 09:16 PM

BTW Michele...I totally stole your pun.

Posted by: Timmer at May 4, 2005 09:16 PM

Maybe we'll all get lucky and Scott will really get the boot tonight? Maybe the producers realize they have to get rid of him best of the VFTW site?

Posted by: DonnaK at May 4, 2005 09:17 PM

I wish I had been watching more closely. I wanna see Scott strut to the couch.

Posted by: Tanya at May 4, 2005 09:18 PM

VFTW site is gone...it got pulled

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:18 PM

*because of the VFTW site. Don't mind me, I have the flu...

Posted by: DonnaK at May 4, 2005 09:18 PM

damn. I missed him strutting. Shit.

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:18 PM

It got pulled? How? Don't tell me AI actually messed with it....

Posted by: DonnaK at May 4, 2005 09:19 PM

Sorry Donna...if it makes you feel any better, I have it to. Sinus pressure sucks almost as bad as Scott

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:19 PM

How could you not realize the couch was the bottom. Seacrest didn't say "you're safe," he said "sit on the couch." I want to take Jabba the Scott's smug expression and shove it right up his fat ass. God, I hate him.

Posted by: Amanda at May 4, 2005 09:19 PM

It's like we can't lose tonight. Suddenly I feel better already...

Posted by: robyn at May 4, 2005 09:19 PM

Show the stupid strut again...please?

Posted by: Slublog at May 4, 2005 09:19 PM

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Posted by: Timmer at May 4, 2005 09:19 PM

don't know why it got pulled, but it wasn't there earlier today - said something about suspended

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:20 PM

Couldn't they have had him at least sing the song he sang WELL?

Posted by: Timmer at May 4, 2005 09:20 PM

where's the Yo Yo Yo hand gestures Scott.

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:20 PM

He actually looks worse without that stripey beard shit he had going on. That's hard to do.

Posted by: Faith at May 4, 2005 09:21 PM

yea i noticed the lack of "you're safe" myself ... i actually decided to check out the site VFTW just today and it redirected me to yahoo soooooo, i guess someone pulled it. Doesnt mean those that have seen it are gonna not be able to power vote

Posted by: Caryss at May 4, 2005 09:21 PM

he forgot a line "I'm just a fat fuck who you want to go away" ...

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:21 PM

I don't know whose fighting gets older.....Simon & Paula or Simon and Secrest

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:22 PM

I have to say it... I've always loved Anthony's voice. It's so pure and silky. I just don't think he's meant for this show. Broadway, yes. Here, no.

Posted by: DonnaK at May 4, 2005 09:23 PM

You think Anthony learned to sing from old David Hasselhoff videos?

Posted by: Timmer at May 4, 2005 09:24 PM

Honestly this isn't a bad performance by Federov. Scott stunk though.

Posted by: Ian S. at May 4, 2005 09:24 PM

I'm not an Anthony fan....but I do think he unsung Scott. But I bet he's gone cause of Scott's VFTW club

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:24 PM

Seacrest is a punk.

Posted by: Slublog at May 4, 2005 09:25 PM

ooo...commercial time. It's about time. After all, we haven't had any in about...oh say two minutes??!

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:25 PM

Scott this week .. Anthony next week and then I dont care who wins because I love all in the top 3 tonite. *actually, secretly I'm rooting for Bo*

Posted by: Caryss at May 4, 2005 09:25 PM

Caryss - I actually agree with you 100%. I think it's going to be a real toss-up for who wins. I love Bo, which is why I hope he *doesn't* win. That way at least he'll have more of a chance to get a better producer.

Posted by: DonnaK at May 4, 2005 09:27 PM

what a long two minutes...

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:27 PM

YES

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:28 PM

REJOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE! Its about time .... LONG overdue but well worth the wait (kinda)

Posted by: Caryss at May 4, 2005 09:29 PM

Our long national nightmare is over.

Posted by: Ian S. at May 4, 2005 09:29 PM

Love the graphic Michele. Buh-Bye Scotty

Posted by: Frank at May 4, 2005 09:30 PM

Free batteries for everyone!

Posted by: Faith at May 4, 2005 09:30 PM

It can end now, I don't care WHO wins! White Trash is GONE

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:30 PM

I think this occassion overrules the no all caps and no more than one exclamation point rule. ;)

YESSSS!!!!!!!! NO MORE SCOTT!!!!!

Posted by: DonnaK at May 4, 2005 09:30 PM

Love the champagne Michele.

We didn't love ya Scott.

Posted by: Timmer at May 4, 2005 09:30 PM

How long have you had that waiting?!

Posted by: Tanya at May 4, 2005 09:30 PM

take ur cocky ass back home!

Posted by: Caryss at May 4, 2005 09:31 PM

what a happy day. I think America got pissed off at his smugness and the cheating. MY FAITH HAS BEEN RESTORED!!!

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:31 PM

That graphic made a little tear fall in slow-mo...

Posted by: robyn at May 4, 2005 09:31 PM

I'm glad he's gone but I have a sneaky suspicion we haven't seen or heard the last of him...

Posted by: Frank at May 4, 2005 09:33 PM

You're prob right Frank. He's still on the tour (goody, better get my tickets now). He'll have a rap or R&B song at some point as I am thinking that's his preferred type of music.

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:35 PM

Lovin' the Mcd's thing Michele!

Posted by: Riley at May 4, 2005 09:40 PM

I'm far too happy.

Is that bad?

Posted by: Slublog at May 4, 2005 09:47 PM

I LOVE this site, michelle. It's not even 7pm here and I can celebrate!!

Posted by: Trish at May 4, 2005 09:48 PM

Yea!!! I am so happy I don't have to look at Scott's smug face any more!!

Posted by: Mary at May 4, 2005 10:06 PM

WOW...I'm finally back down to earth now that I've had my afterglow cigarette from the ECSTASY of seeing that fat ass chunk get booted!

YEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Beth at May 4, 2005 10:09 PM

I thought Anthony deserved to go more than Scott but I can't complain.

Posted by: Sarah Christine at May 5, 2005 12:19 AM

Okay, so I'm finally watching the episode and Anthony is singing. WTF is this song?

"Empty spaces fill me up with holes"?

That's deep. I just had to look up the song....figures. It's by the Backstreet Boys.

Posted by: Trish at May 5, 2005 12:26 AM

ROFL, I'm a minion. That's cool, Sarah, I'd rather be Michele's minion than brainwashed by the church.

PS: I've spent oodles of time with Michele, and she's nothing but devastatingly gorgeous, so shut your stupid pie hole about that. Shit.

Posted by: Faith at May 5, 2005 12:35 AM

The fact remains that while Scott may have not been the worst person this week he has had the ejection a long time coming. He was going to get voted off this week or the next along with Sergei Federov regardless. Bo, Carrie, and the Vonz are clearly the top three. Nothing said on this site would have really effected a high percentage of voters.

Oh, Sarah, get off the Holier than thou trip. This is not a church, synagogue or mosque so religious preaching really has no place hear

Posted by: Pat at May 5, 2005 12:43 AM

YEEEEHHAAAWWW! That fat fuck is gone!
The only problem is I am still depressed that CMFMe Constantine, Nadia and Anwar had to go first when they were infinitely better.
HA!
Now I must turn my attention to that handsome young thing Bo....

Posted by: Mel at May 5, 2005 12:49 AM

Sarah honey, you're not making sense. God obviously wanted Scott gone. Otherwise He wouldn't have let it happen, would He? Don't question His logic.

Yay, God!!

Posted by: Tanya at May 5, 2005 07:43 AM

Can we now give up the notion that the "vote for the worst" people are driving events? :-)

Posted by: Dean Esmay at May 5, 2005 07:58 AM

I'm in a black mood and and have never watched a single episode of this idiotic show, but I can show little Miss Christian what a REAL heathen can unleash on her torpid little world.

Think "Jesus and the money lenders" honey, 'cept Jesus is sporting a 2x4 while on a huge crack high with a tank of NO2 strapped to his back and the gas mask's flow valve broken on full open.

Dumb twit godchick.

Posted by: TC at May 5, 2005 08:30 AM

seeing scott get the boot was relatively anticlimactic. i mean, he's had it coming for a while, so when they called his name my husband and i just smiled and said "alright!".

now last week, when constantine's name was called, we hooted and hollered and did the happy dance. i mean, talk about your unexpected pleasant surprise - that was awesome, america. anyhow, i'm very happy to see scott's gone....anthony will follow shortly, i'm sure.

Posted by: Tiffany at May 5, 2005 08:58 AM

Sarah, spare us all that whatever you said.

My wife thinks Wayne Brady would make a better AI host than Seacrest. And what's cool about Wayne Brady, he can sing also. Let him sing and spare us the AI group songs. heh heh heh...

'Bout time Scott is sent to bench. Been a long time. Now if I can only get Vonzell and Bo as the final two, I'll win a bet with my boys.

Posted by: Solomon at May 5, 2005 09:48 AM

Gee Sarah, if it weren't for you, I might still be doin my sinnin ways. Thank you for helping me repent and see the light. You stupid bitch.

For the rest, the VFTW site was inundated and crashed big time.

The other bit of hilarity was watching Fat Joe walk over to the couch with his usual smugness thinking he was safe and Anthony giving him that Are you fucking crazy???? look.

I'm kinda gonna miss the big lug. ewwww

Posted by: jen at May 5, 2005 09:52 AM

Dean: their website died earlier this week and Scott went away. I think that *proves* their influence :-)

Posted by: Ian S. at May 5, 2005 10:30 AM

I agree, Ian.

Posted by: Janet at May 5, 2005 10:35 AM

This here heathen is bored with Carrie the stick figure.

Posted by: jen at May 5, 2005 11:21 AM

BTW...did anyone see "Fallen Idol" on Primetime Live last night? While I question Corey Clark's motives about releasing that info NOW (2 years later when his CD is being released), he does have some pretty convincing evidence that he did have an affair with Paula, such as phone records; the fact that Sprint vouches that Paula purchased a phone for him; receipts for very expensive clothing; detailed descriptions of her house; his parents and friends vouching for his story, saying they met her/spoke to her over the phone while she was calling for Corey; voice mail messages from her, etc. I believe he is telling the truth, which means, IMHO, that she should resign after this season, because that's just not fair to the other contestants. I believe Fox knew about it, and "ousted" Corey, saying he did not tell them about a misdemeanor, which frankly, Fox could have overlooked if they wanted to keep him as a finalist. Fox says it "knew" about Scott Savol's misdemeanor, and Bo's misdemanors...but who really knows whether they did or not? I think Fox was trying to avoid a scandal during Season 2 with Corey, and found a convenient excuse to get rid of him.

Posted by: Janet at May 5, 2005 11:44 AM

Paula was piss assed drunk and pilled out of her school. She probably did bang Corey but doesn't remember nor should she be held accountable. After all, Sarah Christine sacrifices virgins and small animals to her god but she's freaking insane thus she shouldn't be held accountable either.

Posted by: jen at May 5, 2005 11:47 AM

You guys take this very seriously, religious fanatics and Scott-haters alike. I love coming here the day after because it's just too funny. Me, I watch the show and I'm entertained by the show, regardless of outcome. But honestly, I think the VFTW thing was a hoot too. Must be the anarchist in me. And I believe, in the early rounds, it had an effect. And who did it hurt? Constantine? He was weak, his chin was weak, his pouting was weak, and he wasn't gonna make it to the end, anyways. But when it comes down to the end, there just aren't enough negative votes to keep a talentless piece of crap in the game. The right ones (with the exception of Federov, and his time is coming next week) are still in it.

Bye-bye Scott, you will be missed. Your Yo-Yo hand gestures had me rolling in the floor.
