Elimination Night

By Michele

It's an hour show tonight. Why, god, why? Why torture us for an hour when all we need is ten minutes to say good bye to someone?

I'll halfheartedly live blog, I guess.

Oh. Hahah. A Kirstie Alley fat joke. LOLROFLLMAOBBQ!!11!

What the fuck is that get up Seacrest is wearing? Where's the ugly t-shirt?

I'm really, really cranky tonight.

Constantine's hair? Not a good look. Not at all.

Oh,I get the hour edition now. IT's gonig to be an hour long commercial for their charity record. Gosh, I just love infomercials masquerading as entertaiment. I gave up dying my hair for this.

Ok, I'll be watching the Yankee game for a while. Someone tap when they get to the real stuff. Yay. Giambi finally put his steroid arms to use. Oh, am I on the AI blog? Sorry.

Oh jeebus. We have to listen to them SING? Just GET THE FUCKING VOTE OUT, PEOPLE!

Scotty the Body in the BOTTOM THREE! America, there is hope for you yet! But I ain't listening to this loser sing again. Hey, how about those Yankees?? My god, someone actually slept with this man. ::shudder::

And..Carrie is safe.
Anwar...safe. Hrmmm..
Bo.....holy bottom three, batman.

Did Bo just say something about sleeping with his mother?

Paula is on crack. Again.

I finally figured out who Constantine reminds me of (personality wise, not looks). That Lord of the Dance guy - Michael Flatley.

No, that is NOT a compliment. Not by a long shot.

Connie boy....Geez, Simon is smiling at him. He's safe.

Hah. Nadia. I KNEW IT. This is her third time in the bottom three?

I can NOT believe Federov is still in it.

It's got to be Nadia. Scott won't go simply because I'm being punished for something I did in a previous life. Bo won't go, because he just won't. It's going to be Nadia.

And.............Holy fucking shit. He's staying. YOU PEOPLE SUCK. I want to know who's voting for him. Stand up, people. Someone admit that you voted for him. Because I want to smack the shit out of you.

Oh, man. I'm so happy that Bo is safe, but I feel kind of bad for Nadia. There is no way she is less talented than Anthony or Scott. No way. There are a lot of stupid, stupid people out there and they all have speed dial.

Comments

I thought last week's results show was very well paced. So of course they're going for an hour this time.

Posted by: Ian S. at April 13, 2005 09:02 PM

Am I the only one who doesn't remember the "Constantine Tongue Move"? Do I want to know? *shudder*

Posted by: DonnaK at April 13, 2005 09:03 PM

Did Vonzell say "Desmond Child"? I don't think I've ever seen Seacrest in a suit.

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:04 PM

Oh god, they're showing the crowd swaying.

Just give them fucking lighters already.

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:04 PM

I'm going back to bed.

Posted by: Faith at April 13, 2005 09:04 PM

Anwar, you definitely belong behind a microphone because you have absolutely no personality on stage.

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:05 PM

No!!!! I'm looking at Mikela again!!! ARGH! Get her of my TV please!

Posted by: DonnaK at April 13, 2005 09:05 PM

I'm surprised Seacrest isn't just wearing one of those tux t-shirts.

He has a collection of bad shirts. That's probably one of them.

Someone needs to visit TShirtHell.

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:06 PM

*channels Jimmy Fallon's impersonation of Carson Daly on SNL*

"I'm Ryan Seacrest, and I'm a massive tool."

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:07 PM

*snicker*

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:07 PM

I gave up watching THE GAME for this.

I promise, that's all I'll say about it.

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:08 PM

this song really sucks

Posted by: Caryss at April 13, 2005 09:10 PM

*sings*
I wanna hold your head, under the water...

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:11 PM

Is it just me, or do all of them sound like they're performing drunk kareoke?

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:11 PM

Kat, maybe they all got into Paula's liquor cabinet...

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:12 PM

Well, at least their harmonies were good.

Posted by: DonnaK at April 13, 2005 09:12 PM

*pout*

This is not my night.

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:13 PM

lol@Michele

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:14 PM

Kill me.

Just...Kill me. Now.

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:15 PM

Scott: This is when we got work everything out, because we don't want to have to work them out at 5 o'clock... CAUSE IF THAT HAPPENS SOMEONE IS GETTING SCOTTY THE BODY'S BEAT DOWN!

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:16 PM

Oh, I'll believe who is in the bottom three, because America's voters suck.

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:18 PM

Surprise in the bottom three? Hmmmm... I'm putting early money on Bo. I just have a bad feeling about this... *cringes at the thought*

Posted by: DonnaK at April 13, 2005 09:18 PM

Unless the bottom 3 are Randy, Paula, and Simon I think I'll believe almost anything.

Posted by: Ian S. at April 13, 2005 09:19 PM

What the nasty bastard said.

Posted by: michele at April 13, 2005 09:19 PM

Ok, it may be DRAGGING, but that was kind of an interesting look at what they do the rest of the week. I admit to being curious about the shopping thing.

Posted by: Sekimori at April 13, 2005 09:19 PM

NO! They are bastardizing this song! I'll never listen to this song again without thinking of this version. :(

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:22 PM

NB, they bastardize everything.

It's to be expected.

They even bastardize themselves...Wow...that's not even possible...

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:23 PM

Yeah, but you really gotta feel for people that get to shop for designer duds on someone else's tab. The week is, like, soooooo rough and draining.

Posted by: robyn at April 13, 2005 09:23 PM

Anwar was indeed better, Anthony was AWFUL. I really didn't get the judges like night and I still don't tonight. And NO Scott did NOT do awesome - it was absmisal.

Posted by: DonnaK at April 13, 2005 09:24 PM

Pro athletes and singers. Both seem to have this odd obsession with this weird all-caring being.

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:26 PM

There is an audience in the television?

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:27 PM

Yes, can someone tell me why Gawd, should he actually exist, gives a crap about her little life.

Posted by: Sekimori at April 13, 2005 09:27 PM

Because Gawd has nothing better to do.

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:28 PM

bwahahahha Victory is MINE!

Posted by: Caryss at April 13, 2005 09:28 PM

Hooray! Scott in the bottom three again! There is hope!

Posted by: DonnaK at April 13, 2005 09:28 PM

Scott in the bottom three. Shocking.

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:28 PM

YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:28 PM

Of course there's a God. Savol's in the bottom 3.

Posted by: Ian S. at April 13, 2005 09:28 PM

My beliefs have just been called into question...

America may not be as stupid as we thought, and Gawd may have some sort of existance...

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:29 PM

And his performance sucks even worse than the first time he sang it. PLEASE LEAVE SCOTT!

Posted by: DonnaK at April 13, 2005 09:30 PM

I think Scott is trying to shake his arm off. It must really be bothering him.

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:30 PM

Scott. Bottom Three. This is a tease, I know it. Someone good is going home.

Posted by: Doug at April 13, 2005 09:32 PM

*whimper*

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:32 PM

I'm telling you I have a bad feeling about Bo....

Posted by: DonnaK at April 13, 2005 09:33 PM

THAT IS ENOUGH NEGATIVE TALK ABOUT BO, DAMMIT!!!!!!

*pant, pant*

Posted by: Sekimori at April 13, 2005 09:33 PM

Someone give me a fucking cigarette. (2 months w/out)

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:35 PM

Sekimori - I adore Bo! He's my favorite! I just have a... bad.... feeling.....

Posted by: DonnaK at April 13, 2005 09:35 PM

Bo in the bottom three?

WHAT.THE.FUCK!?

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:36 PM

Gah.

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:36 PM

Holy farking !@#$!

Posted by: Ian S. at April 13, 2005 09:36 PM

Told you! I really didn't want to be right on that one....

Posted by: DonnaK at April 13, 2005 09:36 PM

I am going to keel someone... Dammit, people!

Posted by: Sekimori at April 13, 2005 09:36 PM

It. Was. A. Fucking. Bet.

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:36 PM

If Bo goes home I'm going to firebomb the venue.

Posted by: DonnaK at April 13, 2005 09:38 PM

Paula's back on crack tonight.

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:38 PM

Paula has no worries in the world, because she is wasted.

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:38 PM

America... listen! Bo rocks! This is so very wrong.

Posted by: DonnaK at April 13, 2005 09:39 PM

Bo's doing this even better than he did the first time, but the backup singers still bite.

Posted by: Ian S. at April 13, 2005 09:39 PM

I almost smell a conspiracy -- like the producers threw Bo in there to keep everyone tuned in because as you can clearly read above, we were all bored as hell with the 1-hour show. This just ruffles feathers and gets people ranting. And like a toddler, bad attention is still...attention.

That said, if Bo goes, I could give a flying flip about the rest of the competition. Even with Carrie still there.

Posted by: robyn at April 13, 2005 09:42 PM

See, there is no Dog. Constantine is safe.

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:45 PM

You know, this doesn't have anything to do with "The Audience" or "America" voting - it is about the 1% of the audience who have speed-dialers and 2 hours to blow playing with the phone after a moderately entertaining TV show.

If you don't manage to place 300 votes/week you don't have any influence at all. That's why the show is getting weirder & weirder.

Wait, does that sound bitter?

Posted by: Owen at April 13, 2005 09:46 PM

Nadia in the bottom three. I'll say it again. America's voters suck.

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:47 PM

Nadia again! This is just not right. That girl can sing. It had better be Scott going home.

Posted by: DonnaK at April 13, 2005 09:47 PM

If Bo goes, i'll be pissed. But if Constantine goes anytime soon, then I'll think it's rigged.

Posted by: James at April 13, 2005 09:49 PM

I think Tanya's right about Nadia though.

Posted by: Ian S. at April 13, 2005 09:49 PM

Please, oh please. It's time for Scott to GO. If Bo leaves and Constantine and Scott are still there, I'll take that as a one of the seven signs of the Apocalypse.

Posted by: Kathleen at April 13, 2005 09:49 PM

I am going to take my wireless router and smash it.

Stupid America.

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:50 PM

Two of the bottom three are the best two in the competition. And one of those two isn't Scott.

Posted by: Doug at April 13, 2005 09:51 PM

Doug - I couldn't agree with you more. It has to be Scott. If it's Bo my interest in this show is going to seriously decline.

Posted by: DonnaK at April 13, 2005 09:52 PM

ri"goddamn"diculous, i say. Anthony sucks. Anwar is bland. I am not a huge Stain fan, that is the current nickname for constantine on my blog, a user dubbed him "Stain." Final four should be Bo, Vonzell, Carrie, and Constantine. But the 13 year olds that vote will not get it right. last season and the fantasia nonsense is proof american idol voters are on the pipe.

Posted by: Jennifer at April 13, 2005 09:53 PM

Ack.

Can't get to half the sites I want to be checking. Including my own blog.

Stupid wireless. Stupid internet. Stupid little teenage girls.

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:54 PM

OMG .. scott needs a kick to his throat

Posted by: Caryss at April 13, 2005 09:55 PM

SCOTT is safe??????

Posted by: DonnaK at April 13, 2005 09:55 PM

I think I'm gonna cry.

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:55 PM

Ok, that is f'in retarded. I can not believe Scott is safe!

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:56 PM

Who is voting for that jackass?

Posted by: Ian S. at April 13, 2005 09:56 PM

Someone really needs to stage an intervention for Paula. And WHAT?!? How can Scott *possibly* be safe? How? Have the rivers begun running upstream? Has day turned to night?

Posted by: Kathleen at April 13, 2005 09:56 PM

Ian, his all his other baby mammas.

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:56 PM

I believe I'm scared.

Paula is going to collapse into a puddle of melted drugs.

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:57 PM

Thank You God!!

Posted by: James at April 13, 2005 09:57 PM

Thank god! Bo is safe! But a big boooo for Nadia leaving. This sucks.

Posted by: DonnaK at April 13, 2005 09:57 PM

America is filled with morons.

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:57 PM

This show sucks. Scott got more votes than Bo? I must be on drugs, right?

Posted by: Faith at April 13, 2005 09:58 PM

I hate this vote. Scott should have gone home. Nadia *should not* have been in the bottom three. At least Bo is safe.

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 09:58 PM

NB's right: all the baby mamas have speeddialers because they don't want him coming home.

Posted by: Ian S. at April 13, 2005 09:59 PM

White trash comes through again. I cannot believe it. This show sucks.

Posted by: Mel at April 13, 2005 09:59 PM

Seacrest gets reluctant style points for giving Nadia his tie to wipe away her tears. *grump*

Posted by: Sekimori at April 13, 2005 09:59 PM

Faith, I think your drugs aren't nearly as good as the ones Paula has.

Posted by: kat at April 13, 2005 09:59 PM

I have faith some record label will pick Nadia up before too long. She's too good to be without a contract. This whole thing with Scott is so beyond wrong... I feel like a I need a shower or something. Ick.

Posted by: DonnaK at April 13, 2005 10:00 PM

Before you vote for Scott again, keep this in mind before you do... :)

Posted by: nastybastard at April 13, 2005 10:01 PM

This is how that Jennifer girl got eliminated last time. Then everyone who wasn't voting started voting and things evened back out. I do not think we will see bo in the bottom again for a while. I still think it is a shame that nadia is gone before Anthony and Scott.

Posted by: Jennifer at April 13, 2005 10:01 PM

Un.Be.Freaking.Lievable.

Posted by: Timmer at April 13, 2005 10:01 PM

Very wrong, but it almost went even wronger. I'm voting for Bo 500 times every performance for the rest of the competition.

Posted by: Doug at April 13, 2005 10:01 PM

*sigh*

Posted by: Tanya at April 13, 2005 10:02 PM

I'm beginning to blame Ohio. They're the reason behind the '04 election outcome. And now they're probably pulling for their home-stater in AI. Ok, maybe not. But this is getting ridiculous.

Posted by: robyn at April 13, 2005 10:03 PM

have you ever wondered if this crap continues to the finals and scott actually wins!? *shudders* I will boycott the show forever and I'm not even kidding.

Posted by: Caryss at April 13, 2005 10:05 PM

Wait a sec, this is all starting to make sense. See, when I read that Scott threw a phone at his baby momma, I thought he was trying to hurt her. Now I see that he throws phones everywhere he goes. And they all have speed-dial.

Posted by: Patrick at April 13, 2005 10:42 PM

Tonight's show made me physically sick. I can't believe America kept the wife-beater and kicked Nadia to the curb instead. Honestly, it's enough to make me stop watching. Almost.

Posted by: Kelley at April 13, 2005 11:01 PM

You guys are great. I hop on right after each show, just to see what you guys said. Always spot on. Having said that... omg... why geeezus, why Bo... is everyone on crack these days, or just sharing whatever Paula's got?

Posted by: SleepyDiane24 at April 14, 2005 12:52 AM

nadia is the only one with style

Posted by: mel at April 14, 2005 12:53 AM

ohhhhh..... scott is so gross

Posted by: muggy at April 14, 2005 12:56 AM

is paula really for real?

Posted by: crackhead at April 14, 2005 12:57 AM

)if anybody read this far down) who caught the episode of Robot Chicken with Zombie Idol? Ryan Seacrest did his own voice.

Count Chocula:did anyone ever tell you it's incredibly gauche to be a complete douchebag on live tv every week?
Seacrest: Not for what I get paid.

Seacrest: remember to text message your votes, because that's how the phone companies make more money.

Posted by: bsti at April 14, 2005 01:40 AM

Btsi, I saw that and immediately got it on torrent because it was a keeper.

Robot Chicken rules.

Posted by: michele at April 14, 2005 05:39 AM

everybody bitching about Scott and Anthony still in the competition, please remember that the sparsely talented Jasmine Trias got 2nd place last season.

so yeah, at least one of them will make the top three. maybe both. *shudder*

Posted by: mikey at April 14, 2005 12:36 PM

"sparsely talented"... You're ENTIRELY too kind.

Posted by: Sekimori at April 14, 2005 12:42 PM

Actually, Diana DeGarmo was 2nd last season; Jasmine was 3rd. But whatever: I know what you mean, and I have had the queasy thought/nightmare of Scott winning. Last night was so disturbing. I agree with DonnaK: if Bo goes, my interest in the show will greatly decline (although it is always "interesting" to see Constantine perform). Bo so totally rocked last night! And I cannot believe that Nadia was the one to go. I had a bad feeling that she would be leaving, but I was hoping I was wrong. If Scott or someone undeserving wins, I will probably no longer watch the show, as well.

Posted by: Janet at April 14, 2005 02:14 PM

I can't tell you how upset I was by last night's show. I'm literally heartbroken. I'm a huge Bo fan and I about died when he was put in the bottom three. "No way!" was all I was thinking and yelling at the top of my lungs last night (I think I scared my kids). Bo is so wonderful, different, and talented. Please go to sugarmoney.net to hear pieces of Bo's original music. It is fantastic! I have his CD now and have been playing it all day. It gets better everytime I listen. I know this, this is the first year I've ever watched Idol all the way through and if Bo leaves before Scott I will never watch the show again.

Posted by: Melinda at April 14, 2005 02:54 PM

Last night was a travesty. Watching that fat arrogant no talent wife beating thug made me sick. As Bo and Nadia walked to the center and stood with grace, dignity and poise, thinking they could be next, that extra large hoodrat looked as if he'd bust a cap in Simon's ass. He's not only a bad singer, he's got a bad attitude, a bad wardrobe, and a big block head.

Posted by: jen at April 14, 2005 03:09 PM

My prediction: Carrie will win (although not the most talented), Bo will be second and Paula will be in rehab two weeks after the show. She has GOT to be on something. Unbelievable.

Posted by: kristin at April 14, 2005 03:12 PM

A friend of mine who does not watch "Idol" commented on how loopy Paula was on some show...Letterman? I wonder if she's on painkillers for something...didn't she hurt her back recently?

Posted by: Janet at April 14, 2005 03:19 PM

Carrie not the most talented .. huh!? She's the ONLY one with real talent in the competition - only one who doesn't dramatize when she's singing. Constantine - love making drama faces. Anwar - picks female artist songs and destroys them, dramatically. Scott, whole persona drama. (and I don't think his baby's momma was his wife so wife-beater isn't the right name for him) Anthony - tries too hard drama. Bo - already has a band and apparently CD's completed, he's here because why? That leaves Carrie ... no drama, best talent here.

Posted by: Lisa at April 14, 2005 07:01 PM

And you who do not agree are wrongwrongwrong. *snort*

Posted by: Sekimori at April 14, 2005 08:11 PM

All this scrutiny of the AI'ers prove my point that many current pop stars wouldn't make it on the show. Why? Cuz we would tear them apart. LOL!

I may not particularly like Carrie but I wouldn't be shocked if she won.

Lisa, I don't think Anwar destroys female songs "dramatically". I think he is way to laid-back for the show. He needs to singing on some smooth jazz guitarist's album. That's his niche. My new faves our Vonzell and Constantine (go ahead and pimp slap me on the Constantine pick, I'm a big boy).

Posted by: Solomon at April 14, 2005 08:34 PM

You know what, Solomon, I have to agree with you. Anwar has great pipes for the right kind of music, but he hasn't been doing that music (plus, I think he enunciates and phrases like Stevie Wonder and he needs to figure out how not to sound like a Stevie Wonder wannabe).

Vonzell doesn't even require discussion.

And Constantine, ever since he went all Partridge on us a few weeks back, has been consistently good. I'm thinking some problem was solved that accounts for his sudden non-pitchiness (like maybe they adjusted a monitor for him or something). For weeks it just seemed like he had no ear, but now he's doing Freddy and not embarassing himself. Who'd have predicted that?

Posted by: Patrick at April 14, 2005 11:28 PM

For the love of GOD people will you please vote for constantine!! He is the ONLY one who truly deserves to win. He is the whole package: looks, talent, charisma, stage presence, versatality and EXCITEMENT. Being an american idol isnt about who can hit the highest note, its about who excites everyone and makes people go nuts when they walk on stage. Ever listen to a Doors CD? Jim Morrison did not have a great voice, it was average at best but he excited people. Constantine's voice is better than Jim Morrison's...for real...Morrison couldnt sing "My funny valnetine" in the key Constantine did. And that Bohemian Rhapsody performance blew the doors off everyone else. You all need to call in for Constantine, some morons on the web who want to screw up the results for american idol are purposely voting for the worst singer: Scott. Dont let them get away with this crap! Vote multiple times for Constantine.

Posted by: Sandy at April 15, 2005 04:49 AM

Paula? Is that you??

Posted by: michele at April 15, 2005 05:44 AM

Just because Bo has a band and one 5 song CD which contains songs he wrote, sung, played lead guitar, and engineered doesn't mean he shouldn't be on Idol. Constantine has a band and CD and has toured with Rent, and Vonzell has a CD too. I personally don't care what the reasons are why Bo decided to go on Idol. I'm just glad he did, win or lose, because if he hadn't, I probably would never have heard of him or his great music.

Posted by: Melinda at April 15, 2005 10:09 AM

Sekimori .... weren't you the one who started closing these posts after 24 hrs because everyone was expressing their opinions and didn't agree with you? I forget the name you called us .. it'll come to me and I'll remind you. You must have me confused because I never let on that it mattered to me one way or the other if people disagreed with my opinions. Relax. Take a deep breath .... nothing is personal.

No, dear, we started closing posts because a few of the commenters are ignorant, belligerent tools who seem to think this is their blog to control. Sound familar, you condescending little troll?
