Elimination Prediction

By Tanya

If there was any justice in the world, Scott would be gone tonight. But I think the fat-ugly-and-stupid-vote (thanks, Seki!) has got his lardy, woman-beating back, once again. Even tho he called them all talentless cowards last night. [sigh]

It won't save him from the bottom three - that will be Scott, Nadia, and Federov - but, as much as it pains me to say this, I think Nadia's the one going home.

She has the same "problem" that LaToya had last year. The audience doesn't love her, because she's tough and independent, and doesn't seem to need them. She doesn't make a cute face and beg for votes after her song, or wave her arms while she's singing to pull them in. She's in her own world when she sings, and that's one of the things I really like about her, but I think it's freezing people out.

Good analysis. It's been bugging me what's missing from her, because technically she rocks, and I think you just nailed it.

your ayn rand villian reminds me of all of the people in that vonnegut story "harrison bergeron." Most of me really dislikes ayn rand, but for her actual writing. she does really good characters but her idea... that objectivism... what a bunch of crap.

i thought you meant scott was a rand villan cause he beat women like roark did...

maybe scott is a rand hero.

Thank you for proving my point. The prosecution rests.

I was just blindsided by what the judges said to Nadia last night -- I thought her song choice was interesting and her performance distinctive and nearly flawless. And then (with apologies to the Tongues-in-Chief) I thought Bo was quite ordinary on Free Bird, which I DQd him for even selecting. Hell, Constantine blew Bo off the stage last night. But compared to Nadia, Bo got a pass from the judges.

I get what you say about Nadia not being needy, but she's not an ice queen either. (Yeah, neither was Latoya, but IIRC Layoya said something gaffeish about thinking she had already won that may have turned people off.) I could be wrong, but I think Nadia's edge will turn as many people on as off.

Anyway, my mama says there's a God in heaven, and if she ain't lyin' it will be pitchy-man Scott taking that long bus ride to Lake Erie.

To quote "When Harry Met Sally"...

"You're right. You're right. I know you're right."

Fortunately, the people who vote 300 times for Scott won't each buy 300 of his albums. A year from now, she'll totally outsell his mediocre ass, and in the long run, that's what counts.

*sigh*

Props Tanya, you nailed it. Though I know it gives you no joy.

Oh, and God? I didn't mean that thing I said before.
