Elimination Night

By Michele

Coming up.

Meanwhile, a PSA. Comments on live blog posts will close after 24 hours because you people are whack.

Oh geez. The group song is giving me really bad childhood flashbacks. Nooo, don't make me wear the bellbottoms!

Constantine is sporting some package in those tight jeans.

The audience is actually swaying. Someone break out the Bic lighters and hand the world a Coke.

---
Nikko - safe
Constantine - sigh. safe.
Carrie - safe, of course.
Bo - safe
Nadia - bottom three AGAIN!
Jessica with the puppet mouth - Bottom three!
Scott - What. The. Fuck? SAFE.

America, you SUCK.

It has to be Anthony in the final three. Can't be Vonzell, she was too strong this week and Anwar still has a strong fan base.

Holy shite, Anthony is safe and Anwar is in the bottom three!

It's just bizarre that a couple of weeks ago, I thought it would be Nadia and Anwar in the final.

And I get NO BATTERIES tonight.

Ok So Nadia is safe.

It's got to be Jessica. Daughter is insisting it's Anwar because of his inconsistency.

Surprsingly, I'm not going to be upset if it's Anwar. There's just something off about the guy. He started to weird me out about two weeks ago.

I still can't believe that Scott is staying, though. Some people should NOT have phones. Just saying.

Aaand....

Jessica goes home. Not a big surprise. I think I get like a triple A battery out of the deal.

Tanya is THE BATTERY CHAMPION this week. Go, Tanya!

See y'all next week.

Noooo, another crappy group song.

Posted by: Ian S. at March 30, 2005 09:04 PM

They picked this song for Scott, didn't they?

Posted by: Faith at March 30, 2005 09:04 PM

LOL! Good snark angle, Faith. I didn't think of that.

Posted by: Ian S. at March 30, 2005 09:05 PM

Constantine karate kick!

Posted by: Matty at March 30, 2005 09:06 PM

I've stopped paying attention to the group songs.

They disturb me almost as much as those burger king commercials.

Posted by: kat at March 30, 2005 09:09 PM

Matty, how bout a karate kick where the sun don't shine? That shut you up for a bit?

Posted by: Faith at March 30, 2005 09:09 PM

Ok, it didn't disturb me as much as that BIZZARE muppet/puppet/weird dancing fabric character commercial.

Posted by: kat at March 30, 2005 09:12 PM

Run outta batteries already, Faith? ;)

Posted by: Matty at March 30, 2005 09:12 PM

?!!!? Nadia in the bottom 3 again?

Posted by: Ian S. at March 30, 2005 09:13 PM

WTF is going on here?!

Posted by: Faith at March 30, 2005 09:14 PM

OK no fucking way?! How is Scott still around??

Posted by: Faith at March 30, 2005 09:14 PM

I like Scott, BUT I can't believe he was safe.

Posted by: nastybastard at March 30, 2005 09:15 PM

Damn. Why the hell does America have no common sense when it comes to music?

Posted by: kat at March 30, 2005 09:16 PM

Kat, because it's all about image and smarmy eyes. ;)

Posted by: nastybastard at March 30, 2005 09:16 PM

I'm gonna say Anthony is probably the one going buh-bye.

Posted by: Ian S. at March 30, 2005 09:16 PM

Ian, I think it's Jessica. I just have this feeling. Although, it's probably wrong. ;)

Posted by: nastybastard at March 30, 2005 09:18 PM

WHAT!?!?!?!??!

Posted by: Faith at March 30, 2005 09:20 PM

Wow! I would *not* have guessed Anwar in the bottom 3 so fast.

Posted by: Ian S. at March 30, 2005 09:20 PM

Holy shit. Anwar in the bottom three? BLASPHEMY!

Posted by: nastybastard at March 30, 2005 09:20 PM

Nasty, I think you're right. Jessica goes.

Posted by: Faith at March 30, 2005 09:20 PM

That would be a little present for meeeee.

Posted by: Sekimori at March 30, 2005 09:21 PM

Think Simon was being clever about Nadia & Scott?

Posted by: Faith at March 30, 2005 09:21 PM

I am going to kill Seacrest.

Posted by: kat at March 30, 2005 09:21 PM

No batteries for me tonight -- that's what I get for Tampa loyalty!

And Faith, I wondered that, too!

Posted by: robyn at March 30, 2005 09:23 PM

Jessica it is. *whew*

Posted by: nastybastard at March 30, 2005 09:26 PM

At least there is some justice.

Posted by: Faith at March 30, 2005 09:27 PM

There is something very wrong about tonight.

Someone punch me so I wake up.

Better yet, punch Seacrest. And Paula.

Posted by: kat at March 30, 2005 09:28 PM

Punch Seacrest OUT! *snicker*

Posted by: nastybastard at March 30, 2005 09:29 PM

Blegh. Shoulda been Anwar. At least Jessie had some soul

Posted by: Matty at March 30, 2005 09:29 PM

Go me!! Batteries ahoy!

Scott totally has the underdog vote. And I'm really glad I voted for Nadia.

Posted by: Tanya at March 30, 2005 09:39 PM

Even though I don't do the "predictions" I should have posted my guess for tonight's eliminations ... I guessed Anwar, Nadia and Scott would be in the bottom three. I was 2 out of 3 ... Nadia and Anwar both suck, said it from the beginning. Jessica is better than Scott but he obviously has more people on his side voting for him than Jessica did. Sad.

Posted by: Lisa at March 30, 2005 10:03 PM

ok, i read this site every week, and you guys are always on target. there just some things i wanna point out.
ok 1st- didnt anthony wear those stupid torn pants last week?...also on last nights show seacrest was like "i met up with the final 10 last wednesday"..but Mikahla wasnt there...didnt she get the boot on thursday? hmm...i've always been suspect of how live the show really is and if its fixed or not.
Also i went to cunningham jhs with anthony...had no idea he could sing, i can scan the pic of our yearbook if any1's interested, but its nothing special.

Posted by: Melissa at March 30, 2005 10:26 PM

WHO is voting for Scott? I can't stand him, he looks scary and he can't sing. The boys seem to be more popular this season; however, I beleive Carrie and Vonzell will make it far.

Posted by: jeni at March 31, 2005 09:00 AM

I also wanted to say that I'm not a huge Anthony fan; however, on my local radio station a stylest from behind the scenes of AI says that he is the nicest contestent and very grateful.

Posted by: jeni at March 31, 2005 09:04 AM

Why, oh why, wasn't Scott in the bottom three?? Nadia certainly didn't deserve to be there...okay, I'm voting for her next week, 'cause I think she's good. Anwar has become boring as of late, but he is not the worst singer by far. I never really liked Jessica much, but she wasn't the worst, either. It is very disconcerting!! Scott and Nikko aren't at the same level as everyone else, and Anthony is freaking annoying. Oh well. I can look forward to them being eliminated in upcoming weeks; I do not see (please, they cannot!) them going the distance. Also, did you notice how Bo kept his arms and hands safely to himself? He must have read/heard gossip on the internet about him and Carrie. Supposedly, they both have "significant others". If Bo does have a girlfriend, she probably called him from Alabama to give him crap about his infatuation/flirtation with Carrie. LOL!!!!

Posted by: Janet at March 31, 2005 09:44 AM

Scott is this year's Jasmine. He will continue to squeak. Last year it was Latoya London who should have been up there with Fantasia but damn Hawaii kept pushing for Jasmine. The same thing will happen with Scott and if he wins, I'll have to go back to listening to Depeche Mode.

Posted by: jen at March 31, 2005 09:55 AM

I think Scott has some voodoo magic going on. I've heard he keeps a shrunken head in his pocket for good luck, but maybe that's just a rumor...Depeche Mode: you mean Depressed Mode??
;-)

Posted by: Janet at March 31, 2005 10:25 AM

This is changing the subject a bit...but does anyone else find Carrie a bit annoying? She's a great singer, but she's just a little too Miss Perfect for me. I would love for Bo to win, even though I think of "American Idol" as more of a pop star. Maybe this would transform the whole competition, and more rockers would compete each year. I think Carrie will probably win, but it annoys me a bit...

Posted by: Janet at March 31, 2005 10:29 AM

Carrie looks like one of the fleeing civilians in an old Godzilla movie.

Posted by: jen at March 31, 2005 10:42 AM

So, jen and janet - do you guys synchronize your watches and meet here at the same time every day?

Posted by: michele at March 31, 2005 10:43 AM

Nope...it's just a much needed break from the stress of my job...I'm on a computer 45-50 hours a week, and this blog is fun!

Posted by: Janet at March 31, 2005 12:24 PM

Reason why Anwar is "weirding" you out (and me) cause he doesn't want to be there anymore. Plain and simple.

Posted by: Solomon at March 31, 2005 01:13 PM

Janet, you have a job? I could have sworn the two of you were abotu 14 years old.

Posted by: Faith at March 31, 2005 02:01 PM

Nope...triple that...

Posted by: Janet at March 31, 2005 03:08 PM

Despite reports yesterday that American Idol 4 finalist Scott Savol, 28, had been convicted of two prior misdemeanors, including one for an assault on the mother of his four-year-old son, Idol producers announced last night that they had already known about the convictions and that Scott would not be removed from the ongoing finals, which has been reduced to the final nine contestants. ..http://www.realitytvworld.com/index/articles/story.php?s=3373

Posted by: jen at April 1, 2005 03:57 PM

Yes...I read that, too. It doesn't surprise me a bit, but it is a bit unfair to other contestants in the past who have been disqualified for less...

Posted by: Janet at April 1, 2005 05:55 PM

I am soooooooo mad!!! America really really sucks! Discluding my house. I thought anthony and scott would definitly be in the bottom three with Nadia but........no way!!!!!!!! Anwar, Jessica, and Nadia!!! That is sooooo wrong. And Jessica going!!! I was thinking she would go to the top. Not win but go pretty high. I haven't been stopping talking about how wrong it was to my friends and family. I think something is happening with anthony. He should of been gone a long time ago. I think fans are probably getting all these people to call or something!!!SO WRONG

Posted by: LuverUvAmericanIdol at April 5, 2005 01:24 AM

"Discluding"...is that an actual word?

Parental controls, people.

I'm thinking that commenter didn't do so well on the SATs. Comments closing on this post now.
