3/24 Elimination Night

By Michele

I've got a bottle of wine in front me, ready to celebrate the 30 minute Mikalah Farewell Tour.

If she does not go tonight, you will pry those batteries out of my cold, dead hands.

[For newcomers, you're going to have to research the battery reference on your own, because I don't remember when it first started]

Have a look at all the other Idol Tongues predictions:
Robyn is looking for a Carrie-esque end for Mikalah
Seki's farewell to Mik is short and uh..sweet.
Broken wants to send Miki back to Joisey.
says It...won'
And Faith is the lone dissenter in this court. She's hoping to wave bye-bye to Anthony.

Stay tuned - show begins now.

Oh yay. Group song time. Now's the time to go pee, folks.

For Robyn:

I'm grabbing the popcorn and picking Mikalah. Bring on the pig's blood!

Nikko, safe. Constantine, safe. Bo, safe. Carrie, safe. No surprises, of course.

WHoa! Nadia in the bottom three!!! I knew she was getting weaker each time, but I still think she was strong enough to not end up in the bottom. Weird. No neck is safe. YESSSSSSSSSSS Mikalah in the bottom three! Scott safe and Nadia NOT? America, why do you hate TALENT?

It's gotta be Anthony....

And Seacrest does his stupid commercial trick again. New material, Seacrest. New material.

And no suprise, Anthony in the bottom three.

Chances are pretty durn good that Miki is going home after the break.

I am STUNNED, America. Stunned at your lack of judgment and your bad, bad taste.

Oh someone shove a sock down her throat, please. And only she can pout and sing at the same time.

She'll be back with a talk show. Guaranteed.

And now stay tuned for Life on a Stick, sure to be the greatest sitcom this side of Small Wonder.

Now give me my batteries. I've got a date with Hello Kitty.

Why haven't you found me the Bo mp3 from this week? Gimmie them batteries!

Oh gawd, the group song.

Posted by: Ian S. at March 24, 2005 09:05 PM

Faith: if you want one I can cook one up. (I made the Anwar mp3 that Michele had a few weeks ago).

Posted by: Ian S. at March 24, 2005 09:06 PM

Oh Ian, I would love that. Michele was mysterious about the origin of the one she sent me. ;)

Posted by: Faith at March 24, 2005 09:07 PM

No fucking way?!?!?!?!?!?! Nadia!

Posted by: Faith at March 24, 2005 09:14 PM

Nadia in the bottom 3? Yikes.

Posted by: Ian S. at March 24, 2005 09:14 PM

Yes! Mikalah in the bottom 3!

Posted by: Ian S. at March 24, 2005 09:15 PM

Posted by: Faith at March 24, 2005 09:16 PM

I don't think Nadia's gotten progressively worse, she's just inconsistent. She kicked ass last week.

I'm crushed that she's in the bottom three, but hopefully this will scare her back into combat boots.

Posted by: Tanya at March 24, 2005 09:19 PM

Bah. Apprentice and AI at the same time. Not a good thing.

Stupid commercials.

Posted by: Kat at March 24, 2005 09:21 PM

Oh yes! Anthony in the bottom 3. I'm lovin' it.

Posted by: Ian S. at March 24, 2005 09:21 PM

Fuck, they must be kidding. OK, i'm buying the batteries.

Posted by: Faith at March 24, 2005 09:22 PM

Did Anwar just hump Federov's leg there?

Posted by: Sekimori at March 24, 2005 09:23 PM

The battery reference came from one of the first live-blogged elimination rounds. I can dig it up if people demand it.

Posted by: Kat at March 24, 2005 09:23 PM

just say what these batteries are about?

Posted by: tony at March 24, 2005 09:25 PM

If Mikayla stays and Nadia goes, I'm pretty sure there'd be a rip in the space-time continuum and the laws of physics would no longer apply. Up would be down, black would be white, rivers would flow upstream. Please, keep Nadia!

I hate to be happy about a teenager's misery, but justice has been served.

Posted by: Kat at March 24, 2005 09:27 PM

Ding dong the Nanny is dead!

Posted by: Faith at March 24, 2005 09:27 PM

Batteries for everyone!

Posted by: Ian S. at March 24, 2005 09:27 PM

No Carrie-esque ending, but just try to wipe this grin off my face nonetheless! Whoo!

Posted by: robyn at March 24, 2005 09:31 PM

If she had sung like that on Tuesday, she might not be gone. It drives me crazy when they do that.

Posted by: Tanya at March 24, 2005 09:32 PM

The battery reference goes back to one of the live-bloggings of a major elimination round. The authors were making guesses, someone asked what we'd win if we...won...and the answer michele gave was "self-gratification".

The response was "oh, so you mean we get batteries."

Posted by: Kat at March 24, 2005 09:34 PM

Ooops.. that was me. ;)

Posted by: Faith at March 24, 2005 09:43 PM

OK, so I'm late, but I had to wait till "The Apprentice" was over, then watch a recording of AI. Anyway, I think Nadia deserved to be in the bottom 3 tonight--I have voted for Nadia in the past, but her performance on Tuesday was terrible. I share in the rejoicing that Mikalah is gone, though, and hope that Nadia will be back to her old self next time--I really did enjoy her previous performance.

Posted by: Amanda at March 24, 2005 09:54 PM

Tonight's show was just one big exercise in schadenfreude for me. I hated to revel in her discomfort, but damn, am I glad Fran - I mean Mikhala - is going somewhere that I don't have to look at her twice a week. Woot!

I'm still pissed at America, though, for putting Nadia in the bottom two. For shame!

Posted by: Kelley at March 24, 2005 10:14 PM

Just like I said in my previous statement, Nadia is not the best singer in this competition and I still don't get what all the excitment is about her. Maybe the hairstyle change for Tuesday night caused her votes to go down ... and she is very inconsistent, I agree with Tanya. My vote to win the whole competition: Carrie.

Posted by: Lisa at March 24, 2005 10:21 PM

She'll be back with a talk show. Guaranteed.

No. Not a talk show. A modern spin on "The Nanny".. -.-;

Posted by: Nikki at March 25, 2005 12:46 AM

I thought she lost with grace, at least she didn't cry. Miki-haters. And Scott can sing okay, he's just difficult to look at. And I don't care much for wiggers.

Posted by: bsti at March 25, 2005 01:40 AM

Actually, there's no evidence Nadia got fewer votes than Anthony. All we know for sure is those three got fewer votes than the other eight, and Nanny Junior got the fewest votes of all, thank you Jesus.

Posted by: Victor at March 25, 2005 08:51 AM

Too many injustices. Nadia in the bottom three. Scott is still safe. That guy is so bland he makes jello seem exciting.

Posted by: jen at March 25, 2005 09:47 AM

This is a bit off-topic, but does it seem to you like Bo and Carrie are dating? Lately, he is always standing/sitting next to Carrie, and he had his arm around her last night during the results show. He'd move it when the camera panned out, but it was definitely there. When she was declared "safe" (no big surprise there!), he said to her something like "way to go, babe". Just wondering if anyone else noticed...Imagine the vocal chords their children would have!!

Posted by: Janet at March 25, 2005 10:31 AM

Hey Janet, I said the same thing. If not dating, then I think Bo definitely has a thing for Carrier. It's appropriate donchathink? Besides, they are the best singers out of that whole group.

Posted by: jen at March 25, 2005 10:45 AM

Yes. She doesn't seem as "responsive" to him, but maybe she's playing it cool since they are on television. Bo also seemed to like Lindsay, before she was voted off. Maybe he's just looking for an Idol hook-up? ;-)

Posted by: Janet at March 25, 2005 10:47 AM

I don't think Carrie is interested in Bo. Not her type. She has a boyfriend who is supporting her and is there with her .... read it in People Magazine. Bo may want her, but he should probably give up and move on to someone else, say ???? Paula? :)

Posted by: Lisa at March 25, 2005 05:14 PM

...or...ME!! I think Bo is hot... I did not know Carrie had a boyfriend. That's good news...very good!
