Well Isn't That Special

By Faith

Seems "personal reasons" is a euphamism for cheating. In case you haven't heard, Mario's gotten himself a posse o lackeys and is off to see the Wizard. Apparently, already having an album out, which is against the rules, didn't stop him from playing the entire AI system.

I hope teenie-boppers are smart enough to punish him for this. Then he can find himself on Celebrity Boxing in a year or two, facing off against Justin Guarini.

You're so sexy when your claws are out.

Hrm...So Constantine starring in a production of RENT counts as being amature?

Something smells fishy to me.

kat, the word you're searching for is amateur. And nothing says you have to be an amateur, just not HAVE AN ALBUM OUT. Cheapass ripoffs of Rent are not on albums.

Kat..

In answer to your question: Yes, it counts.

According to the contract that all potential contestants sign (Since I, myself, have signed one and read it up and down), they have to not currently hold a contract/representation with anyone else in the industry. If Constantine has not been in said production of Rent in a while, it can be assumed that he no longer has a contract with the company that stages it.

If it's true about Mario having an album already then, yes, this is in direct violation of the American Idol contract, as [once again] the contract clearly states you're not supposed to have any current representation. If an album of his was released last May, and is possibly being re-released under his name, obviously this company still represents Mario and therefore he is in direct violation of the contract.

Nothing fishy about it.

Oh, almost forgot.

If you're going to look down on Constantine for being in rent.. you might as well go for the other contestants, too:

Bo Bice, whose band opened for Warrant, and also performed/recorded with Allman Brothers Band keyboardist Johnny Neal.

Vonzell Solomon, who recorded her first album/demo CD entitled "My Struggle" (though, many contestants have demo CDs. You can buy studio time and record some, you don't need representation for that.)

And there are others, as well, but those contestants are no longer on the show and, therefore, not worth mentioning.

"Bo Bice, whose band opened for Warrant, and also performed/recorded with Allman Brothers Band keyboardist Johnny Neal."

You say that like it's a bad thing...

Bah. Mistyped again. And here I am, bitching about others' spelling (and I probably got the grammar wrong there).

Ok, wasn't sure how long ago Constantine was in RENT. Thought it was relatively recently. Haven't seen the contracts, wasn't sure what the time period is, and what was counted or not counted.

Thanks.

Ahaha! Oh, no, not at all. I have nothing but love for anything rock-related. Was just trying to be serious, is all.
