Do you guys actually vote?

I tried to vote by phone on the last night that Clay and Ruben were up, but I couldn't get thru, and I gave up pretty quickly. That's the only time I even tried, except that one time last year when they let you vote online.

So let's hear it. Do you bother?

The key is in calling the second the last contestant stops singing. I know they say "phone lines aren't open yet," but they are. Nat called last night as soon as Mario was done and got through.

I got through after about 8 redials last night. I've never been so thrilled to hear Ryan Seacrest. And now I feel dirty about actually typing that sentence.

The husband tells me if I make a single move towards the phone during A.I. he'll unplug the phone. And it's down under the bed, really hard to reach. :)

My purist side won, so I voted for Anwar. It was a close battle between him and Mario though.

i usually just write down the numbers i want and wait an hour. i never have any problems then as most people have given up.

I do vote sometimes, yes. I always wait until they're about to run through the contestants and their numbers before rolling the credits to start calling, instead of waiting until after. The vote(s) go through and I don't have to sit through about a hundred busy tones.
