Who Wants to go to the Hall of Fame?

I'm serious. I just got this bag (too fat to be called "envelope") of applications....

They want me to Pimp you people!

(Reality: it's the bestest thing a baseball fan can do.... I mean, next week, I'm going up there and I am going to have to hold my tongue and say, "Yes! Boggs! What? Oh, okay, Huzzah the Cub Fuck!"

Under the breath: "Kill these fuckers and the horse they rode.")

And then I hit Main Street and the war gets kicking on!

But I'm serious (for a moment) here...HOF memberships at cut rates.

I'm doling them out.

It's the greatest weekend you could ever pull off that involves baseball bats.

Donnie Baseball.

I know he'll never get in. I'm just saying.

Y'know something, Lesley? I had thoroughly accepted the notion that Donnie was never gonna get a plaque in Cooperstown, but then they announced Ryne Sandberg was going in. Great player? Yeah, but Mattingly kicked his ass and stole his lunch money. So I've been rethinking that "it'll never happen" scenario a lot lately. These baseball hacks who do the voting have to look themselves in the mirror every morning, and the idea that someone like Sandberg is in but Don Mattingly is not....

It's ridiculous that Jim Kaat is not in the HOF. Besides the wins, how about 16 consecutive Gold Gloves?

PM: "ridiculous" and HOF ballots are a friggin' synonym.

Don Sutton in. Jim Kaat not.

Tony Perez in. Jim Rice not.

Jim Bunning in. Goose Gossage not.

Shall I continue with the travesty?
