Gulp!

The Red Sox apparently are seeking to snag top right-hander Jason Schmidt in a trade with the Giants. Already riding the wave of a hot streak that's propelled them into first, the Sox could be deadly with a healthy Schmidt. After a stint on the DL and a rocky start, he's been dominant the last two times out. I wonder if the Yankees regret that decision a few winters back to re-sign Sterling Hitchcock rather than sign Schmidt.

In the meantime, the Yankees Jekyl and Hyde season continues, with the current homestand in danger of becoming a debacle if they don't win the next two against the Mets. Last night was another sloppy loss thanks to defensive woes and the return of the bad Moose.

If the starters are not trustworthy, it makes no damn difference what any other team does.

You watch. Wang and anything that smells like a prospect not named "Cano" are going to Houston, and we get "Rocket the Fuckwit" Round Two.
