&%$^^&%^#&Y#()*
Sox 8, Yanks 1
I, for one, will not be writing about today's game just yet. Someone else take the honors. I'm feeling....enraged.
Ok, maybe I'll vent a bit.

That's my official Yankees Are Making Me Mad image. You can make your own here.
Freaking A-Rod. Another day, another runner left in scoring position. And don't give me that crap about how he got a hit today and three the other day. Nice error, buddy. Niiiice.
There was once a player for the Yankees named Don Baylor. I'm sure you remember him. I hated him. And people used to say to me "Why do you hate Don Baylor? He hits home runs!" And I would say "Hitting home runs when there's no one on base or when the game is already decided means shit to me. Don Baylor is teh suck!" Well, I would say something like that. Because I don't think the guy every hit a meaningful home run in his life.
And A-Rod is going to end up being just as useless. Swing that purse, A-Rod. God damn waste of money.

I'd actually like to see Joe move him out of the #2 slot and put him down the order.. shake him and things up a little.
It is a frustrating thing about A-rod.. so much talent, but he doesn't put it to use until its well..umm... nearly useless to us.

How about the "Curse of A-Rod"- is that more to your liking? In case you haven't noticed, that guy is a clubhouse cancer. Every team he goes to is doomed to fail and every team he leaves immediately gets better. He is very good at making game breaking errors against The Champs, though. And forgive me for the "tired Yankee cliches" Angel- isn't is so stupid when someone keeeps bringing up something over and over and over? MFY fans wouldn't know anything about that though...

"isn't is so stupid when someone keeeps bringing up something over and over and over? MFY fans wouldn't know anything about that though..."
No we sure wouldn't.. not when Red Sox fans such as yourself have such a monopoly on it.
Now instead of yankee cliches you're quoting the tabloids now? I guess a request for original content IS a bit much of an ask from you.

The bitterness runs deep with this one... at least T(otally) C(lueless) and Shelly know when it's time to take off the gloves in their review of the team. Angel, on the other hand, comes up with brilliant comments like "is a bit much of an ask for you"
One of the greatest things about the Sox winning the Series, besides doing it, how we did it, and who we went trought to do it, is the reaction of all the MFY fans. Your smug demeanor was replaced briefly by anger and disbleief, but quickly came back more petty and insecure than ever. Your squad lost in the most tragically beautifully way possible- that's just how it is. You could win the next fifty WS and the fact would remain that your boys are the biggest chokers in the history of the game Now your salary has balooned to the level where the taxes you pay on it are more than the payrolls of two TEAMS and you find yourself with an over the hill fireballer who is one mis-step from having career ending reconstructive knee surgery, a deflated former slugger who is happily DHing for $18 mil a year, a young gun who will now duck every time he throws a pitch, a closer who can't get images of the 2004 ALCS out of his head and continues to lose (or at least try to) late in the game against The Champs, a .133 hitting former icon who will probably start getting booed in skankee stadium any time now and continue to be a burden on the team, and the most expensive player in the game- but at least he came with two left hands. Well done. The truth is georgie-porgie has found a new passion and as the ponies start to take up his time and money you will find yourself right back where you were in the 80's. At least you might get one more epic postseason collapse out of it though...
One more thought- classy move by your boys on monday watching as the Champs were rewarded, but class and the largest collection of egos in baseball aren't gonna win you shit.

Why, thank you. I probably would have taken off my gloves, if i'd known I was going to be subjected that multi-paragraph rant. Still full of cliches, though.
Bitter? Hardly. Pissed about how my team performed in the ALCS last year? You bet. I honestly don't think about the Red Sox that much though. Your vitriolic hatred of the Yankees is a bit worrying though.
Posted by: Angel at April 12, 2005 10:52 PM
There's that smug attitude. Thank you for proving my point, and having nothing to say in response. Truth hurt that much?
As for the "vitrolic hatred"- I see it as more of a telling-it-how-it-is. It used to be even worse, then we won, and now your squad is just one of the other 29 also-rans. The fans, on the other hand, have actually gotten worse...

Its funny how we have different perceptions of what is smug. I thought your whole analysis was a bit smug and as such I didn't bother to dignify that part of your post with an answer because given your attitude I didn't think it would get me anywhere if I did. I Just got bored by your use of yankee cliches.
I have no problem with telling-it-how-it-is when it comes to my team. I'm as hard on them as anyone when they aren't playing they like they can. I can face the truth that so far what I've seen from the yankees I dont much care for - but I'm not going to call or predict a whole season based on one weeks play either - that's just ridiculous.

What The Curse of Big Papi says is true- I have seen it with my own eyes!
I also predict Angel's self-righteous complacency will come back to bite him in the ass....

Nostradamus can't even tell I'm female? Don't hold much hope for any of it's other predictions then. :-)
