Actually, David, if you go back and read my first two posts again, you'll be hard pressed to find the "vitriol" you ascribe to me. I really did just point out this funny coincidence that these two guys are inseparable online and that both of their domain names are registered to the same guy. I then put forth an amusing (to me... after all, Jim Treacher has not been able to shut up about me all over the internet for the last month) theory that perhaps they were the same guy since one of them can't post ANYWHERE without the other guy slapping him on the back and affirming his genius two minutes later.
It was, primarily, a joke. Read my first post again. Even the second one there's not much anger except at Kevin's mistreatment of Jens, an innocent victim in all of this, and at Kevin for calling everyone in this forum (i.e. YOU) a shit-eating motherfucker. Cute. Oh, and posted anonymously, against the rules of the forum. And under a different login name than he is now using... which is impossible on Delphi without starting a new account... an interesting sidebar for those who think the idea of one man pretending to be two people on a message board and congratulating himself constantly is somehow ludicrous or impossible.
Meanwhile, the invitation to prove that Kevin & Jim are separate people was not directed towards them, as you insinuate, "You're hurling nastiness at two gents for not proving a negative" but rather to Heidi MacDonald, who purported to have both of their IP numbers on file and to have checked them out and verified that they are indeed different people. So you can tone it down, because I'm not demanding that they prove a negative, I was asking Heidi to post their IP numbers if she had them, to prove what she said. Heidi emailed to say that she checked them out, and they're two different people. Okay, I'll take her word for it... Kevin and Jim are two separate human beings! I am excited for them! Now Jim has something to complain about for the next month! He can run forth and shout it to the world, "Micah Wright admits he was wrong!" Hooray. Guess what? I wasn't all that serious to begin with.

No, if I wanted them to see how it felt, I'd do nothing but talk shit about them for the next month, link to friends' blogs talking shit about them and then talk shit about them in the comments threads in my friends blogs and have my friends tell me how right I am to be talking shit about them. Then I'd go on Comicon.com, Newsarama and MillarWorld and talk shit about them and invite everyone to my blog to read my funny shit talking about them. See, because that's essentially what they've done to me, so that's what I'd have to do to give them the feeling.
Actually, in this theoretical Shit-Talk Universe, I'd mostly talk shit about Jim Treacher, since I don't have much of a beef against Kevin Parrott. Or maybe you missed the part in my "vitriolic" first post where I said that I had written an email to Kevin apologizing for being a Munt last year?
Maybe I should have filled both posts with smiley faces so that the unwitting could clue in to the humor being presented? ;) hee hee, just kidding! :)
Finally, yes, I lied about being a Ranger. I do, however, care about how that lie is presented. When it's presented as me being malicious and evil and sinister, it irritates me because I'm none of those things. It also irritates me when people say shit like "He lied in his confession" which I didn't do (go read the apology and you'll see what I'm talking about -- be sure to click through to the explanation while there, it clears up a LOT of the internet lies & rumors I've seen about myself online).
If I'm "angry" about anything it's that it irritates me when people who haven't done any of the research necessary say bullshit like "he constantly used his fake military service as a club to beat people who didn't agree with him." Why? Because it's a lie and they REFUSE to show where I did this (i.e., Dave, they're asking me to prove the negative). I told enough lies about myself, I don't need other people chipping in. Just like I don't like this one: "from his first moment on the Warren Ellis Forum, Micah was claiming he had been a Ranger." Sorry, not true. Do a search at the WEF before you make bullshit claims about what I did or didn't do. People don't want to believe that, fine, but PROVE where I lied before you run around telling others that I'm doing so.
So yeah, the entire first post was mostly a joke, but yes, was there a twinge of irritation which made me smile as I wrote the escapades of Jirrott Keveacher the two men who sure looked like they could be one? Sure there was. The thing that's different from this thread, though, is that I started my half-joking claim about them by posting an independently verifiable method by which anyone could prove to themselves what I was saying about them. The fact that you and they refuse to give me the same consideration is... well, irritating. :) |
