random thought of the day
There is not a more egotistical man on the planet than Howard Stern.
And his ego is inversely proportionate to his entertainment value.

Yeah, and Dee Snyder called, said he wants his whiteboy jheri-curl haircut back.

He had his moment, now it's gone, but unfortunately he still festers, like a malignant boil on his shark-jumping hind end.

What -- you don't find train wrecks entertaining?

Howard Stern is more egotistical then Hugh Hefner? The guy is in his late 70's and he has at least 3 girlfriends who are young enough to be his great grand-daughters!

A lot of people are saying they can't wait for Stern to hit Sirius because he'll be able to do anything he wants.
To me, part of the allure of Stern's show is seeing how far he can push the envelope with terrestrial radio. Without those boundaries, I think it will be boring.
And I think Stern takes a backseat to guys like Limbaugh and O'Reilly when it comes to ego.

I've been listening to his "farewell" shows in the morning and it's almost embrassing how he thinks the word is revolving around him right now.
And what envelope is he going to push on Sirius? Anything further would just be a hardcore porn show. Oh wow, more sisters making out! More naked chicks! More making fun of retarded people!
Can't hardly wait.

Here's to K-ROCK music in the morning! Buh-bye Howie...

Nope, not going to be music. Instead, we get the one, the only, David Lee Roth. You want a trainwreck, you got one.

I used to really dig Stern back in the mid nineties. I enjoyed him because he was kind of the everyman with a wife and kids and not really out in the celebrity scene. Suddenly, it all shifted, and it was all about how famous he was, how many people he knew, where he went, and how hot his girlfriend was. Got bored, quickly.
I've got XM in the car, and am finding Opie and Anthony tremendously more entertaining.

I haven't been able to listen to Stern since he got kicked of Clear Channel here in San Diego.
I thought I would miss him. Until this post I forgot he had even been kicked off.

The best part is he's being replaced on his old show by David Lee Roth.

Hey, Joe's staying with the Yankees. Does that bring you a bit of happiness? They finally had that press conference.

Hey speaking of happiness, Joe's staying with the Yankees. Does that bring you a bit of happiness? They finally had that press conference today.

Ugh sorry.. double post, and responded in the wrong thread to boot. I'm obviously having one of those days where I should quit while i'm ahead.

My opinion since this is a totally subjective subject: STERN RULES, Bababoooey!
Listen to the guy everyday, love it.

If you like music and comedy together in a really good show, listen to the Preston and Steve show via streaming over the internet from Philly, WMMR.com
Steve Morrison is the funniest man on broadcast radio.

I don't find him any more egotistical now than in previous years. I still laugh more listening to his show than any other radio program.

Agreed, Matt. I do miss him now that he's off the Syracuse Clear Channel Station. I will be subscribing to Sirrius on 1/1/06.

103.7 airs him in the morning.

I still laugh when I think about how the KQ Morning Show completely dominated his ass here in Minneapolis. He didn't last long. He was gunning for Tom Barnard from the beginning, and Tom completely ignored him, and just crushed him in the ratings.
Ha ha! (/Nelson)
