today's listening booth: welcome home

Rocking out to a new Coheed & Cambria song this morning. Sure, the album (Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV Volume One: From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness) didn't come out yet (9/20), but I've gotten my hands on this song and I want everyone to hear it so you know just how GOOD this album is going to be and then you'll all run out and buy it, so no one sue me for having this song here, I'm doing you all a FAVOR.

Trust me. This song is awesome. Put on your headphones for this one. Lyrics below.

Coheed & Cambria, Welcome Home

You could have been all i wanted
But you weren't honest
Now get in the ground
You choked off the surest of favors
But if you really loved me
You would have endured my reign

Well if you're just, as I presumed
A whore in sheep's clothing
Fucking up all i do

And if so here we stop
Then never again will you see
This in your life

Hang on to the glory at my right hand
Here lay to rest is a love ever long
With truth on the shores of confession
You seem to take premise to all of these souls

You stormed off to scar the armada
Like Jesus played letter
I'll drill through your hands
The stone for the curse you have blamed me

With love and devotion I'll die as you sleep
But you could just rat me out
To never mis-warn her happy will I become
Be true that this is no option
So rinse it, condemn you demon raiding in love

Hang on to the glory at my right hand
Here lay to rest is a love ever long
With truth on the shores of confession
You seem to take premise to all of these songs

One last kiss for you
One more wish till you
Please make up your mind girl
I'd do anything for you
One last kiss for you
One more wish till you
Please make up your mind girl
Before I hope you die

Nice. I see you've gone over to the Co and Ca side finally. I've got tickets to see them on September 30, and I can't wait!

Diggin that prog-metal? Reminds me of a more in depth Queensryche... pretty decent.

Sounded great until the guy started 'singing'. He sounds like he just came from the dentist and the novacaine hasn't completely worn off. Also has the Rush high pitched voice which I find annoying.

I'm not all that familiar with them and there was one song they did that I didn't like at all, but this song sounds good. I'll have to alt.binaries the whole thing (for sampling and analytical purposes only).

Tesco beat me to the punch on the Queensryche description...the lead singer sounds like Geddy Lee with alot more testosterone in it...good song, though.

Meh.
