Listomatic: Role Models Gone Bad

Via Stacy, EW counts down the ten worst movie role models. Here's the full list:

10. Willy Wonka
9. Dewey Finn (School of Rock)
8. Fagin (Oliver!)
7. Gloria Swenson (Gloria)
6. Moses Pray (Paper Moon)
5. Coach Buttermaker (Bad News Bears)
4. Leon (Leon/The Professional)
3. Roger Swanson (Roger Dodger)
2. Hattie (Pretty Baby)
1. Willie (Bad Santa)

First of all - What the hell is Roger Dodger? Not only have I never seen it, I never even heard of it.

Anyhow, I can't complain too much about the list (especially the top choice), though there are some noteable absences.

But I'm going to leave that up to you.

Well Shakes The Clown is an obvious omission. Terrible role model, partially redeemed by his relentless mugging of clowns.

Sorry, got distracted there. Last sentence should be "mugging of mimes".

Uncle Buck!

Roger Clemens!!!

Verbal Kent
Jay but not Silent Bob

Mr. Green Jeans - Busted for pot.

Pee Wee Herman

and Jeff Goldstein

Um, where's Senator Palpatine?

Maybe she meant Romper Stomper.

- Darth Vader
- The mother of the gangster (Kindergarten Cop)
- Joan Crawford (WIRE HANGERS??)
- Dr. Evil (Austin Powers)

Baron Vladimir Harkonnen (Dune)

Nice cleancut guy and all, but he could fly. And you couldn't. And you insisted on trying anyway.

Asa Watts (Bruce Dern) in The Cowboys, he shot John Wayne. Almost forgot, The Toecutter in Mad Max.

haha i just watched the cam version of willie wonka and thought johnny depp was acting and looked like micheal jackson

I'd never heard of Rodger Dodger either, until Goldstein recommended and I rented it. Excellent movie, IMO.
