(Sigh) Alas, I knew this day would come, when the damned Yankees would be in first.
It's become an inevitable yearly rite of baseball, really, what with Steinbrenner buying up the corner on the league's talent each year; it's always just a matter of how long it will take for the talent to jell, and enforce it's infernal will upon the rest of the league.
Gotta admit, though, the Darth Yankee graphic is totally cool. Steinbrenner as Sith Lord work so well on oh so many levels.
I knew that signing Al Leiter would turn them around. If they can get their hands on Pedro and Rocket the World Series would be in the bag (dig deep George).

Nice graphic, though. My least favorite of the bunch, but very well done.

Ha! I'm surprised you waited until they were in first.

"First at last, first at last, Thank god almighty we are first at last"
(a collective sigh can be heard from the entire Yankee organization)

This is so freaking funny. And to they're paying Bernie "gaping defensive hole" 18 million. I wonder by how much did antiacid sales went up in Boston.

Clark, please refer to him as "Darth Boss George."
And yes, there are layers to how much fun we're having with that whole "Evil Empire" handle.

So...how 'bout that highlight reel catch Bernie Williams made in the bottom of the 6th? ;)
Truth be told, last night was one of the best ball games I've ever seen.

Oh, and I heart Hank Blalock...in a non-gay way, of course.
