i told you

It's just temporary, until this SW fever goes away.

Listed below are links to weblogs that reference i told you:

» Star Wars Trivia from JimSpot
Speaking of Star Wars, my wife bought me a Star Wars trivia calendar for Christmas. Today's question: During principal photography for Episode III, how many locations outside of the studios were used for filming? Go ahead, take a shot. UPDATE... [Read More]

Okay then. But if you blog or post a camphone pic from the line waiting to get tickets, I'm sending the White Coats after you. ;)

what? is there something wrong?

maybe if you had a Jar Jar banner, there'd be cause for alarm...

ok, quick joke (stop me if i've told this to you before):

Q: Where do Sith Lords shop?

A: Darth Maul.

ahahahahahah ok it wasn't funny.

I was checking Alienware's website and they have 2 new custom cases for Star Wars-a Light Side and Dark Side case.

May the farce be with you.

I've got a bad case of the fever too... And seriously, you're not getting your soul back. Next up are the TV series that'll be out sometime in the next few years. And then there's talk of the sequel trilogy (which I've not yet seen mentioned anywhere that I really believe...)

And if any of you missed it, The Clone Wars cartoons are worth watching (certainly better than Ep I or II IMO).

Stop it! Just stop - I'm trying to stay calm here!

(My 5-year-old isn't helping either.)

Cartoons? How very Matrix of them. Or how very Star Wars of the Matrix. hmmmmmm

I thought I felt a disturbance in the blogsphere. As if thousands of loyal readers cried out at once and then wept.

I think it looks sweet and does not in any way, shape or form make you look like a big dork. ;)

"Aren't you a little short to be a blogger?"
"Huh? Oh, the pajamas..."

michele, you said "...like my son, who discovered the films later on and can't name all the planets and creatures but still has this passion for the story."

Will there ever again be a moment like this in movie history? Can you imagine any director of a trio of such successful movies - and with a slavishly devoted fanbase - like Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi waiting sixteen years before releasing the next movie?

Sixteen years. Impossible to think of that happening again.

Well, I take it back. I guess it will happen again, if the next Indiana Jones movie ever makes to the screen. The Last Crusade was released in 1989 and the newest one has a tenative release date of 2006, making that a 17-year gap.

George Lucas is the world's biggest procrastinator or maybe he just really gets off on cruelly teasing the fans of his work.

Trish, you're right - never has there been such a frenzied (and broad) fan base waiting so many years for the next part of the story. I don't think you can really put Indiana Jones in the same category, since those are all self-contained and not interdependent. I think Star Wars is more in the same vein as Back to the Future. (Can can you imagine Zemeckis making a new one of those after all these years?) No series of movies has the sheer staying power of Star Wars, which is why Lucas can still steal the souls of millions.

George Lucas is the world's biggest procrastinator or maybe he just really gets off on cruelly teasing the fans of his work.

...or else he got bored of just sitting around on his mountainous piles of money and thought, "Hey, I bet we could make some more money on this if..."

That reminds me, I need to buy this.

Michele, you're not the only one. My boyfriend's soul has been eaten too.

Give them back, Lucas! Give them baaaaack!

Just in case you need to get more worked up:

This question is mostly for Nathan - but other watchers of the Clone Wars cartoons can chime in:

Are these cartoons worth $15? I paid that much for "Animatrix", which is worth $15 IMO. And I thought the "Starship Troopers" cartoons were all right. How do the cartoons stack up against, say, "Return of the Jedi"?

Oh heavens...thank god i am not the only one over thirty that is sooooooo pumped for this movie. I am actually gonna catch the 12:01 a.m. showing. I....just...can't...belive...it

btw....your banner just became my wallpaper

I think the banner is brilliant Michele. Just saw it for the first time and it gave me goose bumps.

There's a typo in the new header banner ("bobba"). Sorry for entering the notification rudely in comments, I'm away from e-mail access and figured you'd want to change it quickly. Hope this doesn't reinforce the impression that I'm an asshole.

That's ok. It had FOUR b's when I first put it up.

I am having one of those days.
