M-A-N Man

I've had this song stuck in my head for four days.

Now you can, too. I compel you to download this. Now.

Now You're a Man - DVDA

Lyrics below, so you can sing along.

Well come on, sing!.

♪♪Now you're a man, manny manny man♪♪

Hey guys? It's supposed to be horrible.

What makes a man?
Is it the power in his hands?
Is it his quest for glory?
Give it all you've got,
to fight to the top
So we can know your story

Now you're a man

A man, man man
Now you're a man

A manny manny man
A man man man

You are now a man
You're a man
Now you're a man

Live it, Live it

What make a man?
Is it the woman in his arms?
Just cause she has big titties?
Or is it the way he fights every day?
....No, it's probably the titties

Now you're a man

A man, man man
Now you're a man-man

Man-man man-man man
Now you're a man

M-A-N, man
Man, man-man man
Now you're a man

Call me a music snob, but I think it needs a cow bell.

horr i ble

I like the guitars, though.

Best. Song. Ever.

Is this Oswald from the Drew Carey show singing this?

That's the opening theme to Trey Parker's "Orgazmo"! If you like the song, you should also check out the movie.

i just think it's funny that they're able to use DVDA as their band name...

Sometimes the lead singer sounds like a combination of Ronnie James Dio and Eddie Vedder.

I know I'm not supposed to like it, but I can't help it.

It's definitely the titties. And that song rocks. A nice precursor to the Team America songs.

I just picked up Orgazmo last week since it's finally out on DVD, and lived through all my great DVDA and T-Rex moments.

My best friend wanted to get the DVD for me for Xmas last year, but since it wasn't available here in the states until recently, she ended up buying it online from some guy in Hong Kong. So much of the language on the cover and DVD menu itself is in Chinese. Fortunately though there is an English only version you can select from the setup. Hrm...now that I think about it, I have yet to watch it in Chinese with English subtitles...that might be rather interesting.

Actually, one of my favorite tracks from that movie was the Ween song that played during the scene where they're testing the orgazmorator on the street. Didn't make the soundtrack and was cut from the DVD release.

Folks, do we know what DVDA stands for? Watch Orgazmo to find out. And the singer is none other than the very versatile & talented Trey Parker.

actually, i've never seen Orgazmo. i just know what DVDA stands for. they also did the song "What Would Brian Boitano Do?", which is pretty damned catchy.

Brian! Skate!

Hey Michele, you ought to check out the comedy band Incredibad, who've got a bunch of wacky stuff downloadable. Probably the best song in the universe is The Heist, in which two foul-mouthed guys are rapping with each other like old-school Beastie Boys except if the Beastie Boys acted like stereotypical weepy women crying together over one of them getting dumped. Or something.

Best line in "Orgazmo":

OK, I asked this of another group of Orgazmo fans and we all drew blanks.

What is the difference between the theatrical version and the "unrated" version on the DVD? I watched each one specifically looking for differences and could not find any. Nor could anyone else I asked.

Anyone see anything?

BTW, the drunken commentary on this one is not as good as the drunken commentary on "Cannibal! The Musical." Still better than 99% of commentary tracks though.

I'm listening to Tool "Bottom", then THIS?

thanks, by the way... when I read the lyrics, I instantly thought of Boston's "To Be A Man" and that won't get outta my head.

The Boston thing aside.. I like it.

This song is so beautiful. sniff

As soon as I heard it, I knew it was the South Park guys. In fact, I was pretty sure I'd heard it in an episode of the show. Well, one outta two ain't bad.

Oh shit, my roommate and I love that song. She actually sent it to me a long while back. Every once in a while, she'll suddenly just crank that damn thing up and send it all through the house--fucking fantastic.

Damn near died of laughter the first time I heard it.

JimK, I think that the unrated version omits the scene where Trey Parker is driving his car listening to the Man Song and trying to figure out life, for some reason. I remember that from the original movie and as far as I could tell, it wasn't in the unrated part at all.

In fact, I was pretty sure I'd heard it in an episode of the show.

It played at the end of one of the episodes in the first three seasons.
