The Grateful Dead's version of "Good Loving"

6. Name song you think I probably don't listne to, but should

"Copacabana" by Barry Manilow, since now, because of this item, the song is stuck in my head.

3)And Then She Kissed Me - Kiss
4) It's a Great Day to Be Alive - Travis Tritt.
5) Mr Blue Sky - ELO
6) Anything by My brother, especially "Polyphony Overload". If you like 80's metal guitar, you'll love Scott's music. Read his story, then listen again. Simply amazing.

2, 4 & 6. "They are coming to take me away"

5. "Rocky Mountain Breakdown" by Scruggs and Flatt.

Damn, put the wrong name on the previous comment.

1. "Words get in the way" by Miami Sound Machine - used to listen to the album in my car on the 1 hour drive to a girlfriend's. After we broke up, no more MSM for me.

2. "Xanadu" theme

3. "Come Sail Away" by Styx, but only the live version. The lead singer keeps throwing little comments into the beginning - "and we had dreams" and stuff like that. The album version is fine.

4. "Pressure" - Billy Joel

5. "Bohemian Rhapsody" is perfect for any driving situation, but maybe you have to be a guy.

6. "Jann Pehechaan Ho" by Mohammed Rafi (the song on the Ghost World opening credits). If you have/rent/borrow the DVD, watch the video from the original Bollywood movie.

3) Private Investigations - Dire Straits
4) Won't Get Fooled Again
5) Highway Star - Deep Purple - Made in Japan

2. Copacabana by Barry Manilow

3. Outlaw by Manowar

4. I would have said Ace of Spades by Motorhead, but that would cause too much confusion with that other blog guy. So, Evil, Wicked, Mean and Nasty by Keel.

5. This will turn up my geek factor 100 notches, but my absolute favorite "floor the pedal" tune is Musical Sound Shower from the original Outrun game

6. "Man" by Park Ji-Yoon

3. "Wonderful Tonight" - Eric Clapton
4. "Hold on, I'm Coming" - by B.B. King and Eric Clapton

4. I'd like it to be Rooster - Alice in Chains

5. The Trees - Rush

1. "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins.
2. "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen
3. The great thing about Mabool by Orphaned Land is that it is a rock solid album from start to finish. However, track 4, A'salk, is mostly an interlude. So that's my least favorite.
4. "Perpetual Motion" by Anthrax
5. Tie between "Act of Contrition" by Shadows Fall and "Highway Star" by Deep Purple
6. Tie between "The Light That Blinds" by Shadows Fall and "Seventh Wave" by Devin Townsend

6. "To Anybody" - The Influents

1. Sheesh, this is tough. Too many to chose... one comes to mind: All You Zombies -- The Hooters

3. A New Machine - Pink Floyd

4. If they made a movie about me, who'd watch it?

5. Radar Love - Golden Earing

6. Knowing your vast tastes, this is a hard one. How about anything from "The Greatest Hits of Marcel Marceau"?

1. What song did you once love, but can no longer listen to?

"Crazy" by Aerosmith - I think the video with the scantily clad Liv Tyler was the reason I liked the song in the first place. Now it's way too mediocre.

2. What's the most embarassing song you know all the words to?

"Ice Ice Baby" by Vanilla Ice - first thing that came to mind

3. What's your least favorite song by your favorite band?

"Reflection" by Tool - it goes on and on for no reason, the rhythm gives you nausea after a while

"Geek USA" by Smashing Pumpkins

5. What's the best song for a very warm, sort of sunny spring day, when you're driving a little too fast and your music is playing a little too loud and you don't care because this weather is awesome?

"Fly" by Loudmouth - THE song of my senior year, right when summer was about to begin

6. Name one song you think I probably don't listen to or know, but should.

"You Lied" by Peach - their entire "Giving Birth to a Stone" album is awesome

1. What song did you once love, but can no longer listen to?

Kashmir by Led Zeppelin. Used to love the ponderous thud. Thought it was the coolest song. It's been beaten into the ground by every classic rock station, and is now hideously annoying. Point of fact, I feel that way about most Led Zeppelin songs now, with the exceptions of Whole Lotta Love and the Houses of the Holy album. And I never ever want to hear another band cover Rock and Roll.

2. What's the most embarassing song you know all the words to?

Probably Barbie Girl by Aqua. It's pure bubblegum sugar tooth rot, but I love it.

3. What's your least favorite song by your favorite band?

Have many favorite bands. But I'll go with Megadeth, Die Dead Enough. Totally lame.

4. If they made a movie about you, what song would play over the opening credits?

I'd want it to be They Might Be Giants, Fibber Island. Cause it's so much fun.

5. What's the best song for a very warm, sort of sunny spring day, when you're driving a little too fast and your music is playing a little too loud and you don't care because this weather is awesome?

White Zombie, Electric Head, Pt. 2 [Sexational After Dark Mix], from Supersexy Swingin' Sounds. Followed by the rest of the album, because it's great driving music while whipping down a freeway.

6. Name one song you think I probably don't listen to or know, but should.

Tony Carey, Join the Parade, from Go Out Dancing, Part 1. (Also known as Berlin, 1931. Great song, and completely unknown because Tony Carey works outside of the RIAA's influence.

1. Goo Goo Dolls -- 'Hold Me Up' (the entire album)

2. I'm not sure about "all the words", but thanks to my mom's horrific musical tastes when I was growing up, I know most of the words to a lot of Neil Diamond, John Denver, Kenny Rogers, and other miscellaneous bad 70's country songs.

3. Skinny Puppy -- Worlock

4. Ministry -- Flashback

5. Underworld -- Pearl's Girl

6. My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult -- Devil Bunnies

2. "Gimmee Gimmee Gimmee" -- ABBA (actually, just some of them and the chorus)

3. "The Sleeping Policeman" -- Trashcan Sinatras

4. "Insight" -- Joy Division

5. "Fresh Feeling" -- Eels

6. "King of the Dollar" -- School of Fish

1. "Black Hole Sun" Soundgarden
2. "Blame It On The Rain" Milli Vanilli
3. "Hey Foxymophandlemama, That's Me" Pearl Jam
4. "Seasons" Chris Cornell
5. "Green Mind" Dink

3. "Peaceable Kingdom," Rush
4. "Everything You Know Is Wrong," Weird Al Yankovic

1. "Iron Man" - Black Sabbath (entire "Paranoid" album really)

2. "Pour Some Sugar on Me" - Def Leppard

3. If I could figure out what my favorite band is, I'd tell you.

4. "Drunk in Paris" by Type-O (instrumental)

5. "Ride" - The Vines, or something trance.

6. I think you said you liked new wave once ... not sure what you think about dark wave. This Anders Manga guy sounds kind of interesting. The songs "Shiver" "We won't stay dead" and "Solitary Heaven" sound kind of cool. Simple and sorta gothy, but catchy. There's a video for "Shiver" here too if yer interested.

2. "Pour Some Sugar on Me" - Def Leppard

Hah: I wrote this last year:

Sometimes you go years and years singing a favorite song, not even bothering to really listen to the lyrics or think about what you are singing. And one day, you will have a moment of clarity, maybe in your car in the 7-11 parking lot, singing out loud with the window open, when you'll realize just how incredibly stupid a lyric "do you take sugar, one lump or two" is.

2. Toxic- Britany Spears
4. Teenage Wasteland- The Who
6. Personal Jesus- Johnny Cash (no reason)

1. Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen. Great comeback during 1992. Now go away again.

2. Everybody Dance Now - C&C Music Factory. I still don't know why I know all the words.

3. Speed of Love - Rush. Only song I consistantly skip over.

4. I actually wrote a soundtrack to my life once many moons ago, but I'll be damned if I can remember most of it. Hmm... I'll go with Paradise by the Dashboard Lights - Meatloaf. Not because it has any intrinsic meaning, just that I knew all the words.

When I was 4.

5. A lot, but Highway to Hell and You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC and The Spirit of Radio by Rush are the best.

6. Knowing your tastes, you've heard every CD I own. Ever hear Sunless Saturday by Fishbone?

1. Margaritaville - once a song, now a "brand" - enough already!
2. Billy Don't Be a Hero
3. Emotional Rescue - Rolling stones
4. Life Is a Highway - Tom Cochrane
5. Sister Havana - Urge Overkill
5a. Interstate Love Song - STP

Nine Inch Nails, The Fragile

5. What's the best song for a very warm, sort of sunny spring day, when you're driving a little too fast and your music is playing a little too loud and you don't care because this weather is awesome?
Black Eyed Peas, Let's Get Retarded

6. Name one song you think I probably don't listen to or know, but should.
I'll have to revisit this ... You know so much music that I didn't expect anyone knew, I'm thinking it would be hard to introduce you to new music ... Maybe some old stuff, like Nina Hagen's Nunsexmonkrock??

1. What song did you once love, but can no longer listen to?

More Than A Feeling - Boston

2. What's the most embarassing song you know all the words to?

Toxic - Britney Spears (I watched the video too much)

3. What's your least favorite song by your favorite band?

Tough one, since I really don't have a favorite band. I'll go with 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand' by The Beatles.

4. If they made a movie about you, what song would play over the opening credits?

No More Tears - Ozzy. If only because Zach Wylde's guitar work in that song is just so freaking kick ass.

Summer Breeze (Seals & Crofts)

6. Name one song you think I probably don't listen to or know, but should. Geez, I can't think of an answer to this because I don't think there is much you have NOT listened to.

I will recommend just about anything that Enya puts out.

1. Almost anything by the Goo Goo Dolls. I was a huge fan of theirs during a very bad time in my life (right before my divorce). Especially "Long Way Down" - and I wanted to have that song's babies for a long time. Also, Nickleback's "How You Remind Me" for the same reason.

2. "Keep Me Hangin' On" by Kim Wilde. Or "MmmmBop" by Hanson.

3. Don't have a favorite band presently. Back in the Goo Goo Dolls days, I actually couldn't stand "Iris," which everyone else in the world seems to love. I was also a huge Queen fan for a long time, and hated "Radio Ga Ga." The words "Ga Ga" do NOT EVER belong in a song, unless its a nursery rhyme.

4. "Loser" by Beck.

5. "Shout" by Tears for Fears. Let it all out, man.

I don't waht's more disturbing, that that many people know all the words to "Toxic" or that even more know the words to "Ice Ice Baby"
