TC you hit the nail on the head. Tthis is an outright plea for Steinbrenner to make him an offer as soon as the Red Sox season is over (which won't be after a World Championship, in my opinion, by the way--I know, I know--really going out on a limb there).
I mean, this could almost be considering player tampering, ya know?
