It's quite intense and very expensive and it hopefully won't last very long. Ryan was into it. So was Clancy. Michele almost had multiple strokes doing it. Yup, I'm talking about home buying. On Friday we got our preapproved mortgage and the House Lady... [Read More]

WOW! Great looking house. Prayers do work with agonostics!! Congrats

Congrats! Hope you have a Home Depot nearby.

I'm so totally jealous. I love it.

Congrats!!!! Now comes the best part, making it a home.

And Marble is right, get ready to become very acquainted with Home Depot.

Congrats. When's the housewarming party?

I'll be glad to help with the landscaping. Congrats!

Congratulations. Looks really nice. Love that lawn. Dude, you can totally crawl out the window and drink beers on the roof while watching the stars, just like on 3rd Rock!

Very Nice! Wishing you alot of happy memories in your new abode.

Landscaping, schmandscaping. A real gift would be PHOTOSHOPPING some home improvements for Michele's lovely, tidy new home.

Very nice. Congrats.

And now this is when we dance!

Hoo Hooooo!

It's about time!

Congratulations! And now, good luck with the move...

Congrats. Had the fingers crossed.

[doing a little celebratory dance]

Congrats Michele. Best of luck.

Congrats. Its about time.

Hey...glad everything finally worked out. It's a great looking house. I hope you have many fine years there.

congratulations! don't think of it as a money pit... think of it as an investment that may require second or third rounds of funding.

Congratulations on your new home! May it be filled with nothing but happiness.

Looks like a very nice home, hope you'll have many happy days there!

The Money Pit - As long as it has a good foundation.

All the best in your new home.

Very soon, you'll be saying that you have to go to Home Depot to 'visit my money'.

Congrats, it's a beautiful house!

We hopefully should have one of those tomorrow, too, after going through about four houses to get to it.

Oh, huzzah! Hope it didn't involve too many threats on either part. May your paint jobs be free of drips and your wallpaper line up properly.

Very cool!

Which room is mine?

Congrats, Michele.

Wonderful!! Now comes the fun part, at least IMO: Unpacking.

Except for clothes and kitchen stuff, think of it as "opening presents." Plus, you get to move stuff around and decide where everything can go.

Why, yes, I'm easily amused...

Whoo Hoo!!! I'm thrilled for you! Good things are worth waiting for, but there's a limit. Great looking house.

Congratulations! A roomy house, great lawn. (Do you know how to cut a tree into those swirly shapes? I have no idea.)

Good luck!

Crap, my house was brand spanking new when we moved in. Still a money pit. It's always somethin'.

Have you heard any voices telling you to "Get Out" yet? Because that, to me, is the key to a happy home. If you don't hear those words whispering huskily from somewhere in the house, everything should work out fine.

First thing I thought when I saw the picture was "Oh COOL that space on the second floor outside wall will make an awesome place for a huge tacky Christmas decoration!"

I think I need help.

Oh...and the little lights aren't blinking...clark.

Congrats on the new home. Looks nice

Well, I had a congratulation all ready, before I saw that comment above about the (beloved) Red Sox.

Ah, what the hell, congratulations. Glad it's finally over!

May all your homes be money pits.
Equity before taxes.
Sweat equity before bad Chinese food.

Live long and happy.

You haven't fought this hard since you birthed a child.

And isn't it beautiful? Got the cone-head thing goin too.

Dibs on being the first blogger visitor.

Say when, Michele, and I'll drive up to Lawn Guyland.

Congrats! I'm glad you finally got to settlement!

Congrats Michele.
I know you must have thought at some point you would never own your own house so now is the time to saviour before it lives up to its name.

Hooray Michele! Congratulations :)

It is a great looking house! Here's wishing you and your family a lot of love, joy and October nights watching the Yankees win World Series games in your new home. All the best!

Trust me on this...even with a money pit, there is no better feeling than owning your own.

Congratulations to you and the entire family.

Congrats Michelle. Beautiful house!

Woohoo! Congratulations! It's beautiful!

Very good! Congratulations doesn't cover it, but will have to do!

Congratulations! And why yes, it is a Money Pit.™ But it's YOUR Money Pit™. Which makes all the difference in the world. (Saying that, I'm taking estimates for a new kitchen floor, sigh).

Imperial Keeper

Double Yay!

Nice looking abode, too. :)

Even if it does become a money pit, at least it's your money pit. ;-)

Congrats! ;)
