Michelle's hubby lays it out nicely for us. It's short, definitely to the point, and NOT sweet. All you liberal mofos and lefties and tree huggers and terrorist sympathizers and "you killed my son but i hate the president more... [Read More]

It's very relevant, especially when the Martians say, Saudi-style, 'don't run, we are your friends'
So, would Slim Whitman songs make Islamist heads explode? We'll never know until we try.

OMG. My husband and I watched Mars Attacks! twice last weekend, and we caught the same parallel. Man - great minds think alike. Or, at least, we all watch the same HBO.
Or something. Good on ya for posting on this!

Only, they aren't telling us they come in peace. For decades they've been telling us they're going to convert us via the sword and fire to Islam or kill us. And they've been killing us in chunks for just as long as well. So really it comes down to whether we're the stupidist, most reality averse, most brain-dead fucks in history or if we have an ounce on intellect left to see reality for reality.

Even though it's intended to be humorous, I often feel that as individuals we need to take more personal ownership of our own defense and survival. Granted, outsourcing our defense to the 101st Airborne seems to be working quite nicely at the moment. :-)
Really, how many of you have mused as follows: "I'm no longer content to have my freedom given to me. I want to earn it. Give me an M-16 so that I can stand at the door of the neighborhood Synagogue, where I will slay all who attempt to desecrate it, up to my own death."
I often find myself saying almost those exact words to myself. In my more rational moments, though, I realize that ordinary Americans ARE actively participating in their own defense. After all, only a nation infused with prosperity would be able to project force so decisively 6,000 miles away.
So, by going to your job, by working hard, by using your ingenuity to create value, you are creating the prosperity necessary to fund the Seals, the 101st, the Mountain Division, the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, the 82nd Airborne, etc.
So, by their sacrifices, we are able to live free and be prosperous. And by our prosperity, we enable the armed forces that ensure our freedom.

Yeah but when we play Slim Whitman songs, the terrorists' heads don't go poof. Don't we wish it were so.

along the same lines, any diehard twighlight zone fan should recognize (as going on every day), "To Serve Man! It's a cookbook!" Serling was a genius.

Common sense dictates that when somebody tells you that they are going kick you in the balls and pulls back his leg then the prudent thing to do is to punch him in the face before he follows through or suffer groinal pain. And the strong must protect the weak. It is the way of civilization. The strong exploiting and brutalizing the weak is the way of barbarism.
I do not think it is right to call any man who protects the weak from anybody who is "left" a facist. Is it better to be a "left" bully than to be a "right" facist? In any case I think that the whole "left/right" thing is akin to gangsterism. West side... East side...
I want nothing more than to live in a civilized world where common sense, equality and justice rules. All that said... While money govern our lives this will never happen.
This is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Does anybody care to debate this with me?
