No tickee, no shirtee

I wasn't just blowing smoke out of my ass when I made that little quip about the left thinking a vote for bush is vote for rape. And hey, it's not just the FAR left because Atrios is repeating this mantra and everyone knows that Atrios doesn't represent the moonbats, right? Anyhow, this guy has the whole scoop for you. Here's the choice bits. Clever title! We Are All Wearing The Blue Dress Now bq. The United States cannot simultaneously stand against depraved sexual torture and the wanton abuse of human rights, while electing the commander in chief upon whose watch these events occurred. The seven hundred thousand or so viewers of Fox News may be able to rationalize such cognitive dissonance; the six billion people who make up the remainder of the world will not. .... bq. The election will determine whether America can ever again be seen as a shining city on a hill, a beacon of hope and freedom the illuminates the entire globe. Sadly, the election of George Bush will mean that the United States will instead be viewed as a rat hole prison in Iraq, where nude prisoners were bound together, tortured with hot chemicals, and beaten to death. Ok America, you know what to do. Wait? Do you? Because now I'm wondering if a vote for John Kerry is a vote in favor of Vietnam war crimes and atrocities. Hmmm...if you voted for Clinton did you vote in favor of extra marital affairs and the bombing of the WTC, the USS Cole, et al? Yes, this is a stain on America right now. So go ahead and think of America as the big blue dress. But guess what? That's what they have dry cleaners for. I think our president deserves the chance to show that he can clean this mess up. There are a million dresses in America's closets and I sincerely believe that we'll end up wearing the one that fits right. You know, the one that makes your ass look small and your tits look big and everyone looks at you and says, hot damn. I want to be in that dress. I'm voting for the dry cleaner guy.

I don't think it's the mainstream, but there are a LOT of moonbats out there.

The drooling glee with which the American Left has embraced these abuses is positively pornographic. They don't care that the rule of law and military justice was on the case, that investigations, even punishments were already being handed out. That it happened at all is enough. They just moved it to the top on their Bushiephobia list, along with causing 9/11, the jailing of anyone who "dissents", and any number of imaginings now presented as "fact."

I can't even begin to express my disgust with these people (though if I do, that must mean I'm questioning their "patriotism")

Kerry couldn't even wait to get into the fray with his "when I'm president, I'll go to the UN with true humility."

My question is, does that mean he wears the dogcollar with the diamond or sapphire studs when he hands Kofi the leash? And will he be wearing briefs or a thong?

Now that we've gotten to know him better, I think my vote for Ralph Nader was a vote for senility.

Good grief that's insane. Bush isn't an omniscient god. "On Bush's watch" -- damn, this country is run by the citizens, so it happened on your watch, fucko. How do you feel about that? Oh, don't give me protests about how "you couldn't possibly have known..." etc. You should have known!

What, don't like it when the tables are turned? Too bad so sad.

Funny, most Iraqis seem to be handling this with a lot more level-headedness. They are the ones who are concerned, after all, not the rest of the 6 billion (which, der, contains the population of the US, so Moonbat is saying that the population of the US also thinks that the US is a charnel house of whatsit & etc.) people in the world, many of whom are no doubt relieved that once again the bright lights are shining on the Americans thus leaving them to do as they please in their own dark corners.

Much as the right hated Clinton, I don't remember any of them even hinting that he held any responsibility for Tailhook, which occurred under his watch.

I don't know, maybe they'd rather have President Bush focusing on individual soldier's actions (like Jimmy Carter's scheduling the White House tennis courts) instead of setting priorities in the much larger War on Terrorism, cutting taxes, etc.

It is hardly a winning strategy and one that I hope Kerry picks up on.

I am saying it here now, I have had a vision of a 70/30 victory for Bush come November 2nd. Not only because of the Nader Factor, but because Kerry by that time will be sucking so hard, the Left will be crying foul once again. Blaiming Bush in a conspiracy. Bush tricked them into selecting Kerry and now they want a do over.

It must really suck to be in a position to only want the worst for America just to get their guy elected.

Look at all the ass-kissers in his comments - "oh gawwwd, thank you for FINALLY being a voice of sanity!" et al.

How can people grow up so damn ignorant of the world?

Look, I'm not wearing a dress.

Hey Sean, it's a "don't ask, don't tell" kinda world, so if you wanna wear a dress there is no need to get defensive saying your a not wearing a dress. Just saying... :^) Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Keth,

" but because Kerry by that time will be sucking so hard, the Left will be crying foul once again."

Remember toricelli: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/760761/posts

The UN might demand Hillary replace Kerry if it looks like he will loose by a landslide. sarc\ They might use force, if needed. /sarc

cannon,
You misunderstand. It's just that I don't have one that makes my "ass look small and [my] tits look big."

[sob, sniffle]

OK, except if you actually read the full dailybrew post, the guy is saying that the world will perceive the re-election of Bush as consent for or indifference to the Abu Ghraib stuff. He's not saying that's correct, he's saying that's how it will be seen, and that the results would be terrible. The difference between this and Kerry in Vietnam is that Vietnam was thirty years ago, so it's not really a pressing issue in people's minds.

And "the rest of the world" sees Iraqi ex-Ba'athists, and their Iranian and Syrian fellow travelers as "resistance fighters" against the US occupation. So who gives a damn what they think? They're clearly delusional (or, worse, they know better but it serves their purposes to claim otherwise). I'd rather see Bush reelected and have "the rest of the world" think we're bloodthirsty maniacs and be wrong, than to see Kerry elected and have them think we're imbeciles--and be right.

EH - I am sure that those that want Bush out would love to have the American people decide that the election is the correct tool for absolution, because everyone, and I mean everyone, rejects the abuse. If our election were a referendum on the acceptibility of that treatment, then the results would look like some Saddam Hussein PR move - 100%-0.

However, the election is obviously more complex than that. This is more shortsighted thinking from the Left.

Remember how the election was going to be about the "Bush economy?" They don't call it that now, do they?

Hmmm...if you voted for Clinton did you vote in favor of extra marital affairs and the bombing of the WTC, the USS Cole, et al?

Well, a great many people did say just that.

The people of the world can speak for themselves. I have no idea how Bush being re-elected will be percieved around the world, but I don't think it's any more illogical for someone abroad to think a vote for Bush is a vote for prison atrocities than it is for an American commentator to say that the Spanish voters who threw out the Aznar government were appeasing terrorism.

Since when did worm-bait like Atrios think America was a shining city on a hill? They've been the ones for years saying what a depraved evil nation we are that deserves to be destroyed by terrorists.

That's an asshole lefty for you: the prison stuff is a crime against humanity, the lynching in Fallujah of the American mercs was justice.

Fuck him.

What amazes me about the pictures is the fact if they had been taken in San Franciso or Disney's "Gay Days", leftists like Hillary Clintoris would be pleading for "tolerance" of these open expressions of sadism.

Hell, you can get admitted with a discount at Disney "Gay Days" for presenting a leash when you buy your ticket...

I am not in favor of giving our fine military "sensitivity training". Why?

Remember PFC J. Lynch's entire convoy remainder was summarily executed & then shown on AlJazeera with smiles? Thugs only respect equal or larger thugs, period...

You can't win the minds of the heartless & mindless!!!
Raf

Pardon me while I refer to your statement as ignorant, Raf.

Because it is.

Thanks for pointing that post out, Michele. I read it and the comments there and I thought gee - why would I vote for president to please the rest of the world? I'm an American. I vote to please me, not the UN. And it pleases me that President Bush is doing all he can to defend our country from the Islamofascists who want us all dead.

The lefties are giving me grey hair, I tell ya!

Michele, thank you for jumping on Raf's statement right away. I do not understand how some people can not understand the difference between, say, walking around naked and having your picture taken because you feel like it and walking around naked and having your picture taken because someone is pointing a gun at your head. They are completely different situations.

I wonder why it is that nobody ever seems to be worried about how WE see 'the world'.
Any body that puts Sudan on the UN panel on human rights has no business lecturing anyone about how to treat people.
Some people screwed the pooch and got caught. The Courts Martial are about to drop on them like a million pound shithammer.
Meanwhile in Sudan the genocidal war against the Christians and Anamists in the south continues.
Michele, even if you pick out the dress and accessories I'm still going to look funny.

Lucky for America I look good in blue.

But seriously. Saying Kerry sucks and why should we vote for him ignores the facts that Bush sucks, and he and or his administration have done a lousy job of things. Maybe drag out a better candidate in another four years. Shame we couldn't all just vote for Dean. Little mean pitbull of a guy looks alot better when we compare these two bozos right here and now.

You're half right there IXLNXS.

Oh tell us how Bush sucks. I would love to hear all the terrible things he has done to this country.

I know his actions blew the lid off the biggest scandal in history, yet Abu Griab gets more f a media-induced scandal frenzy than the immense UN debacle.

I know he obliderated the Afganistan Terrorist Network.

I know he gave the American people well-deserved tax relief.

I know he brought the economy back after a Clinton recession, 9/11, and the Clinton's Watch Corporate Scandals.

I know that he made the entire ungrateful world safer by removing Saddam.

Dean exclaims he would run from Iraq in a NY minute. Everybody left- and right-of-center knows we cannot fail in Iraq or cut-and-run. That's obvious to even the biggest pundits on both sides, but your Idol Dean is the way-to-go? Umm, Yeah, Sure...

You know, before anyone starts raving about "moonbats", I think it's important to remember that we're dealing with POLITICIANS here. The Democrats who are going after Bush now are doing so out of political opportunishm, much as the Republicans who went after Clinton. It's kind of funny how unequivocal some conservatives are about everyone they disagree with being a "moonbat". Come on, be realistic. Liberals don't really believe that everyone on the right thinks like Rush Limbaugh.
