Your Yankees are two games behind my Orioles. Yes, THE ORIOLES.

Your Orioles are just kidding you; they'll end up like the Red Sox, imitating Daylight Savings Time: Spring Forward, Fall Back!

/Bronx Born Boy

That was one of the funniest insults I have ever read. This is not sarcasm!

It'll be interesting to see what Contreras has tonight. So far, he's living proof of how much George gets into the rivalry. He overpaid for the unknown Contreras only to prevent the Red Sox from getting him.

The more George gets involved in things, the better chance there is of the Yankees morphing into their shitty 80s version in Pinstripes.

Having too much money isn't always a good thing.

There will be no mercy! We have Jesus Damon on our side!!

(I wish he were a relief pitcher. Then I could say "Jesus Saves".)

Place your bets, name your poison. The Bats of the Bronx have awoken and they shall kick ass in the name of the Dark Lord.

In the name of the Dark Sith Lord Steinbrenner?!

May the force be with the Sox!

But will they play the Imperial March upon entering the Stadium?

The proper title is "The Dark Lord, Boss George."

Think they'll ever make it above .500?

George Steinbrenner is forever tainted with the blood of Billy Martin: a professional driven mad by the machinations of a dilettante.

"Everybody gets to go to hell in their own go-cart." That's what I always say.

But Steinbrenner's has Billy's name on it.

George may have bought Contreras, but the Red Sox own him.

Number 1 was nuts long before George got hold of him (and let go; and got hold, and let go; and got hold....)

Yeah, but he was nuts for The Right Thing, which was: knowing his shit on the field.

"kick ass in the name of the Dark Lord"

Was that a Dead Alive reference?

P.S. I LOVE BILL BUCKNER!!

I saw a news item last year reporting that Buckner was almost killed by a bus in the street, but he was saved when it went through his legs.

You are a cruel man, Mr. Beck. Funny, but cruel.
(BTW, I was talking late 50s/early 60s Billy: "Me and Mickey Whoring at the Hotel Bar.") [Think Paul Simon whistling]
