No, no, NO! Damnit, I've already gotten up, taken a shower, dressed, had breakfast, and it's only 7:40am. The world is NOT permitted to end on a day where I have to get up early. I should at least be permitted to sleep in for a few hours.

<i≥The evening air lies heavy,
And sleep it still escapes me,
A night where hope and courage lie stillborn.
And the evening shadows,
Lie against the windows,
And wait for the coming of the storm.
They dance those shadows,
When the wind blows.
---Eric Bogle, When the Wind Blows
There, that should perk you up.

And you run and run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking
And racing around, to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath, and one day closer to death

Considering that we haven't had much rain here, it would all get soaked up by the ground like a sponge.
Now, I'll admit that we'd then see hordes of mosquitoes the size of Cessnas pop up and kill us all, but that's beside the point.

when the flood comes, could you make sure it wipes out all the newspeople first? i don't want my last hours to be filled with reports of "FLOOD WATCH 2004!"...

As long as your willing to be wiped out so that I may live.

Well, I am sitting at home waiting for a tow truck, to take my (piece of crap, last Crysler EVER) car to the mechanic. Again. I just got it back on Friday :/
So, bring it. A nice rain of frogs and flood waters would mean that I don't have to think about buying a new car :)

oh, so it's just rain, is it?
And here I thought you were still talking about the popularity of Scooby Doo II as the harbinger of the Apocalypse.... now that, that thought scares me. A little rain, that's nothing.

Same old song,
Just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do,
Crumbles to the gound though we refuse to see.
Dust in the wind,
All we are is dust in the wind.
