So, wouldn't this be about the time that a great flood comes, wipes everything out save for a couple of people and animals, and we start over?

No, no, NO! Damnit, I've already gotten up, taken a shower, dressed, had breakfast, and it's only 7:40am. The world is NOT permitted to end on a day where I have to get up early. I should at least be permitted to sleep in for a few hours.

Considering that we haven't had much rain here, it would all get soaked up by the ground like a sponge.
Now, I'll admit that we'd then see hordes of mosquitoes the size of Cessnas pop up and kill us all, but that's beside the point.

when the flood comes, could you make sure it wipes out all the newspeople first? i don't want my last hours to be filled with reports of "FLOOD WATCH 2004!"...

Well, I am sitting at home waiting for a tow truck, to take my (piece of crap, last Crysler EVER) car to the mechanic. Again. I just got it back on Friday :/
So, bring it. A nice rain of frogs and flood waters would mean that I don't have to think about buying a new car :)
