By the way...

Did you know that there's an uprising going on in Syria? If you've been reading Fox or CNN you probably wouldn't know that. If you've been reading weblogs or The Command Post, you would. Same thing with the uprising in Iran. Funny what's news to some and what's not. I mean, Whitney Houston in rehab is just earth shattering front page news, you know? Same with Mel Gibson doubting Bush and Prince rocking the Hall of Fame. But countries in turmoil? Can't find a thing.

There's a Kurdish uprising going on in Syria. Did you know that? I didn't; not word one on CNN or MSNBC or Fox or in the newspaper. Thank the Lord for blogs, bloggers - and The Command Post in particular.... [Read More]

You know the press. "This whole boring war on terror thing is SO '90s. Can't we move on already?"

You watch. It's going to be painful now that election season is around.

I think I've decided to become a Blog 4 Bush. I normally never do that sort of thing, wait at least until the conventions are over and I can give both candidates a chance. I've been trying so fucking hard to be nice, too. I'm starting to think it's a lost cause, Democrats just want Bush's blood and don't give a shit about everything else, and the press is bored with the war, obviously, and wants politics as usual in the worst sort of way.

Gee, do I sound depressed?

It's all part of a vast right wing conspiracy to not report turmoil in the liberal press...........

Oh....(note to self, check not just Command Post BUT ALSO ASV before sending Michelle old news).

I can't believe the lack of coverage. It's just astonishing.

But Charlie Sheen and his wife just had a baby girl!!!! I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOO happy for them!!!!!

I'm sure these uprisings couldn't have anything to do with the fact that Saddam was deposed. Otherwise one might be tempted to believe that these simplisme neocon fantasies about remaking the ME might have some validity to them.

How inconvenient for some folks. But then again, when the data conflicts with your predetermined conclusions, the tried and true strategy is to pretend that it doesn't exist.

Well, as far as mainstream news goes, J-lo's butt is like, HUGE. ;]

I can't say I'm surprised by the lack of coverage. We've seen too much of this behavior on the part of Reuters, AP, CNN, Fox, and others to not expect it of them by now.
