* Less than 12 hours to enter the book contest. There's already 52 entries, so you better make yours good. * I don't know if this is a record for trackbacks on this blog, but the Ted Rall post has 17 links back so far. I guess Teddy boy hits the hot button with a lot of people. And if you're here for the first time from one of those links, you can find my slew of Rall posts here. * Allah is a genius. * What the hell?

This must have something to do with what he's packing. * Watching Léon on commercial tv borders between torturous and hysterical. I think they actually subsituted bushwhack for bullshit. Yea, I know. Why bother? I have two versions of the DVD, yet I still get sucked into watching it on Bravo. Just one of those things. * Signing off to watch last night's Chappelle Show. Again. If you're not watching him on Wednesday nights on Comedy Central, you're not watching the funniest guy on tv. And there's your whatnot for tonight.

Don't make this man mad. If you do, he'll start channeling his inner Den Beste and post a lengthy screed about his linking policy. I, on the other hand, don't rank to get threatening e-mails from people wanting to be... [Read More]

Tom mentions he's shocked at the symbolism used in American politics. Calm down, old boy, part and parcel, as it were. Quite used to it around here. As some astute observers note, however, the use of symbolism doesn't have just... [Read More]

Not much impresses me about John F(uckhead) Kerry. Still, there's this: Whoa. His secret? Inspired by this entry at ASV. [Read More]

He looks like he's having a bad flashback there. Maybe some sort of post-traumatic stress disorder. Anyone know if he served in Vietnam?

I'd peg either Lewis Black or Jon Stewart as the funniest man on TV, personally. But Chappelle's Show is truly hilarious -- "I'm Rick James, bitch!"

The football is surprisingly hard to see.

"I HAVEN'T GOT TIME FOR THIS MICKEY MOUSE BULLSQUASH!" I'll maybe put up a video link tomorrow. Almost as bad was "The Usual Suspects": "Give me the keys, you fairy godmother."

Chappelle's Show absolutely rocks.
"Granny don't!"
Priceless.

I can't resist watching weird butchered versions of movies I like on basic cable either. The chopped versions of Mallrats and Chasing Amy in particular get special awards for unintentional humor - you just can't mess with Kevin Smith dialogue and get away with it.

This is the Democrats best hope? A guy who shuts his eyes when trying to catch.

God protect us.

is that an Ed Grimley immitation?

He's reenacting the scene in RotK where Pippin sneaks the Palantir away from Gandalf in Rohan.

I mean, it's so obvious!

I've discovered Kerry's secret.

Okay, why is the movie (that I own) called "The Professional" also called "Leon"? I am confused.

"Leon" is the extended director's cut of "The Professional".

And the superior version, as well.

"Watching Léon on commercial tv borders between torturous and hysterical. I think they actually subsituted bushwhack for bullshit. Yea, I know. Why bother? I have two versions of the DVD, yet I still get sucked into watching it on Bravo. Just one of those things. "

They don't show Leon though...only the Professional. You don't get to see Portman doing "training" hits which were pretty neat.

"Okay, why is the movie (that I own) called "The Professional" also called "Leon"? I am confused."

Leon is the director's cut/European version of the Professional. It includes some more scenes and played up the whole Lolita thing a bit more.

WHAAAAT? WHAAAAT? YEAAAH! OOOOK!

Lisa, you need to check out this picture by a Farker named Manos.
