what happens in reality is that a bunch of right-wing maniacs link to your blog and encourage their right-wing maniac friends, all of whom should be in Gitmo rather than running free, to post insults in the comments section.
Yes, there are people for whom the highlight of their day is to post "Ted Rall is a commie asshole" on the Internet. Those people are welcome to post such illuminating messages on their own blogs.

I wrote to him asking why he doesn't have a comments section on his blog. He responded by saying (this is from memory): Other cartoonists blogs don't have comments and he doesn't want his blog overrun by "republicans".
He's an idiot, what more needs to be said? Altho i do give him credit for responding, but my email to him was civil.

I read Ted's column as a way to ensure that I'm truly a moderate. After all, if anything he wrote ever made rational sense to me, I'd know I'd slipped way too far to the left into some crazy 5150 ward. Truly, I'm not even sure Ted Rall believes in Ted Rall's column. I just think he's the left wing version of Rush Limbaugh and spouts his nonesense for the same reason fat boy does, to piss people off and make ratings for the publications that laughingly syndicate his banter.
