There's more where that came from, Ed. Those are from last year and the year before.

They are why I am still angry.

Idiots continue to taunt Michele for not "getting over it". And here's a few people she knew that were killed on 9/11, for extra impact.... [Read More]

Those pictures are hard to look at. Thanks for posting them, Michele.

Hard to read. Another box is covering it.

Disregard. I made internet explorer open for full page and no problem

Just left my two cents for Ed. Failed to use the terms "asshat" and "blow me", just a weakness on my part.

You know, when I looked at your new setup for the first time, I thought the model was you. For a second, anyway. After CPR, I read your explanation about it. I like the new look.

Fear not. I'm sure Michelle's point will fly straight over Ed's tiny overheated little head and he'll proceed to dig himself even deeper.

And why exactly aren't we supposed to harbor anger at what is one of the worst tragedies in the history of the United States? Why exactly are we supposed to just let it go? I didn't realize that there was a time limit on this sort of thing. I didn't realize there were standards that we needed to conform to on this issue. I didn't get that memo that said that we all needed to agree on when a greiving period was over.

Comments from another guy named Ed who has a much, much different point of view than the "Ed" who is in 9/11 denial:

I either try to ignore the fringe, marginal opinions of people who just don't "get it" about 9/11 - or at least give them the fringe, marginal attention they deserve.

Most people I know continue to focus on the victims and heroes of Sept. 11, in addition to the continued need to seek justice against those who committed those attacks.

Michele's "Voices" project is thoughtful, important and carries the right tone. Lileks' comments are also thoughtful (if not brilliant) and carry the right tone.

That's good enough for me, and that's one Ed's opinion.

Dearest M,
I have always believed that you can't help how you feel, but can help what you do about them. Thank you for taking the time with this thoughtful and sensitive approach to dealing with these feelings that most of us civilized people share. I'm glad we are not over it for that would make us souless.
'Tis better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.

ed's site has been purged of this feldercarb. I'd like to think it's because he's ashamed, buyt then I think the best of all people....

I'm so sorry that people feel the need to attack you over this.

I know how angry I am and I didn't lose anyone. I know that you (and so many others) have and I can't imagine the anger that you must feel.

And why do I have to have lost someone in order to justify being angry about it? I'm angry about the horrible things that happen every day all over the world. It has nothing to do with knowing someone personally affected, it has to do with being a human being.

Sorry to rant in your comments but I'm sitting here crying and pissed off and needed to write about it.
