Arnold v. Arianna, tonight on the celebrity edition of Who Wants to Be California Governor?

Larry Flynt was eliminated from the race today when it was discovered that the Power of Prayer platform he was running on is a fraud.

Jay Caruso thinks Arnold Schwarzenegger showed some politcally skill in pre-announcing, than announcing, his candidacy for California governor on "The Tonight Show." Michele at A Small Victory likens the recall effort to "Celebrity Who Wants To Be Cal... [Read More]

Cool, the Austrian Oak versus the Greek Freak all for the seat of the weak geek. This is so cool.

Arianna can take Gary. I bet she fights dirty.

Yep, California is full of celebrities that think they're genius politicians.

Now there's an interesting race: Arnold Jackson vs. Arnold Schwartzenegger!

(Ever notice that, if you rearrange the letters of ARNOLD, you get RONALD - the first name of another actor who ran for governor of California?)

aww hell

Please just ignore us in California for the next few months until we get our sanity back. How are things in New Jersey lifestylewise? I may be looking for a new place to live.

at least here in Texas, we can sit back and enjoy another states legislative circus for a while. 'bout time too. i've gotten tired of seeing our governor and "wandering nomad" elected office holders as font page news. comical if it weren't so pathetic.

hell, here in California, we look up to you Texans. We wish our legislators would leave too....

I've had this theory for a while that politics in this country was turning into a cartoon.... I was hoping that the 21st century would prove me wrong. hoo-boy...

Was the O'Reilly link to a story about Flynt's platform, or simply drawing a parallel between O'Reilly's "news" show and plain old "fraud"?

Ugh. O'Reilly's a blowhard, but Flynt is a truly ugly human being of the first order, silly Milos FOrman movies notwithstanding.

And anyone who's thinking about voting Arnold as our next governor needs to watch "Pumping Iron," particularly the scene where Arnold goes on at length about how lifting weights "feels just like cummin," and how "I'm just cumming all the time!"

I think the CA governor's race should be decided on that FOX show Bonzai!

Genius actors? All of a sudden I want to draft James Woods.

Place your votes NOW!
Next on Fox: Who wants to be Governor of California?

I read somewhere (forget where) that Flynt wants folks to pray for the death of O'Reilly.

Hence the connection.

Yes, because the lessons to be learned are that:

1) People never, ever change and become better, more educated, more successful people. Ever. At all.

2) All people should be held to the standard of who they were and how they behaved thirty years ago. If they are too young, they should be held to the standard of what their parents were like at their current age.
