all the pretty little horses

Taken today on Franklin Avenue, Garden City, New York

[click for bigger images. not bad shots for ones taken from a moving car, right?]

Hush-a-bye don't you cry,
Go to sleep-y, little baby.
When you wake you shall have
All the pretty little horses.
Blacks and bays, dapple grays,
Coach and six white horses.
Hush-a-bye don't you cry,
Go to sleep-y, little baby.

I used to sing that to Natalie every night when she was an infant.

We have a similar concept here in Las Vegas, except they're cows instead of horses.

No cows or horses, no, Seattle had pigs of all things. From the few I see, looks like the horses are kinder to the eyes.

Goodbye horses ... I'm flying over you....
Goodbye horses ... I'm flying over you....

Seriously, we had them here last summer, all over the place -- if I have to see one more ass-ugly painted horse, someone's gonna get hurt. :)

We have big ugly bulldogs. Georgia bulldogs. Everywhere. The horses are at least sort of graceful looking.

Minneapolis had Snoopy all over the place. At the time I thought they were cute...

Last year we had cows, this year we have fish... next year, we'll have mutant albino weasles... i'm guessing

Very cool. Much better than the fleeing illegals warning signs in San Diego.
