[PETA terrorists dump blood on KFC CEO David Novak; click for bigass size]

“KFC stands for cruelty in our book,” says PETA Director of Vegan Outreach Bruce Friedrich. “There is so much blood on this chicken-killer’s hands, a little more on his business suit won’t hurt.”

And who is going to clean up that blood on the sidewalk, I ask you? WHO? What is that blood made of anyhow? Is it water soluble? Is it washable? Does it have toxins? Lead? Or, perhaps, it is real blood, taken from the heart of the Colonel himself, right after he mysteriously died and some PETA-phile posing as a florist snuck into the morgue and took his heart? Huh?

And oooh....Chrissie Hynde was there. Stop your cryin', Chrissie, they're only chickens! CHICKENS! I don't see you over in Iraq trying to save the blood of the children, or in Iran saving the lives of dissidents. Chickens, for crying out loud. They barely even have brains!

Yes, I'm done for the night. I do believe I'm overtired.

Michele offers up chapter two of the PETA KFC chicken protest. Before it was just vandalism, now it's assault and battery. (click to supersize) Why should we put up with such home grown eco-terrorism sponsorship? I can only hope that [Read More]

Jeez - that is disgusting..

He almost looks like he enjoyed the blood dumping.....

Ugh. I'm beyond fed up with PETA. Can't we start a PETA hunt club?

I say we eat Chrissie Hinde.

Except the meat would be so tough and bitter and not tender at all.

D

And it is illegal to beat the snot out of these assholes because.......?

Best line in the piece:
"crude and ineffective electric stunning and throat-slitting"
That explains all those still living chicken pieces in my KFC bucket.

Just out of curiousity, wouldn't this constitute assault if he wanted to press charges?

Mmmmmmm. Chicken.
{I'd spew some hate but I have a mouth full of cooked fowl.}
Mmmmmmmm. Chicken

These are the types who claim that their actions are protected "speech." I say if their victims wish to punch them in the nose, that is also protected "speech." After all, it's merely an opposing viewpoint, right?

eet mor chikin

Wonder if Chrissie has started her application for Euro citienship yet... She fits in quite well over there.

I think it's time to give KFC my business for awhile instead of Popeye's...

If KFC stands for cruelty, then cruelty's pretty tasty.

Hmm, I'm not sure that 'speech' of this type is protected under the German constitution, in the way that it might be under the U.S. or Canadian. Pretty disgusting, all in all. And all this for chickens, when people in this world are suffering far more. (As Michele points out...)

sigh This is one of those things that makes me just shake my head sadly. So much enthusiasm & motivation, such a not-so-great cause & absolutely idiotic execution. And, frankly, it gives the rest of the 'liberal' causes a bad name.

Some rational lefty and righty folks should get together and start a sort of 'Defang the Fringe' site, in which they could publicly disown the more idiotic elements of their sides of the political spectrum. I'd be the first liberal to throw PETA out the window, on such a site.

"Shame on you for cruelty to chickens" As disgusted as I am with this incident, that quote is cracking me up! Holy shit those people are fucked up and me thinks they need to get a job.

I wonder if the PETA people had the foresight to see if the blood was spilled was clean blood; being that it's all over the sidewalk and on a person, I'm surprised no one called the cops over the biohazard that poses. What if the blood had infections diseases? And it makes me wonder what type of blood was spilled; since they're so adamant over their 'cruelty to animals', the blood has to be human.

PETA. They never cease to amaze me with how low they can go. Crazy.

chicken's evil.

:P

I agree with JW - the extremes on the left and the right are so bad, and so loud, that it's hard for any of the rest of us to find a label we're not ashamed of. I've always seen myself as a liberal, but if PETA is what liberalism has become, I want nothing to do with it.

It seems to me that this is assault and willful destruction of property. I don't get how it could be considered "free speech." Want to set up a sound system outside KFC headquarters to tell people how bad KFC is? Fine. Want to hand out pamphlets? Fine. But this is not what "freedom of speech" means, and people who stretch the definition to their own lengths will, in the end, do as much harm as those who would take away the rights for their own purposes.

I was a vegetarian for five years (over a girl, no less, but I claimed it was for my health). After watching these guys in actions, I've decided that I loooove animals.....they're delicious! and nutritious too.

They have a KFC next to and A&W? Sounds like paradise to me....chicken, beef, and root beer floats!!!

Tap A&W is the rootbeer of the gods. (Hop's hand-brewed is a close second).

Popeyes is tastier, more southern Cruelty.

Mmmm, fried Cruelty.

Chickens today are shot so full of hormones and other chemicals that eating them is basically akin to drinking a cup full of poison. Imagine what all those hormones are doing to your children. Could this have anything to do with the rise in cancer, especially breast cancer?

Hmmm.

If the chickens are so full of non-chicken stuff, maybe we're not really eating chicken, but just a butt-load of chemicals and toxins conveniently formed in a chicken like shape...then PETA has no argument...

MmmmmmMMmmmmm.... toxins...

Actually, chicken just doesn't taste the same since they banned DDT....

As for toxins in your food, it's too late: Every bite you eat, even the most carefully-grown organic stuff, is full of toxins, in some amount.

And, what's worse, the overwhelming majority of them are "natural". Something about plants co-evolving with billions of nibbling insects and all that stuff.

So keep that in mind the next time you sit down to enjoy your organically-grown-non-violent-free-range tofu burger from that Autonomous Collectivist Commune in California.

Dear a-mom:

Let me tell you a little story. My mother "ate healthy," never smoked or drank. The only problem she had was high blood pressure. She DROPPED DEAD AT WORK at the relatively young age of 66.

My father, on the other hand, drank and smoked. He had 4 heart attacks, 4 strokes, diabetes, COPD (lung problems), CHF (heart problems), Parkinsons and other assorted maladies. He finally passed at 77 of kidney failure. He was still 12 YEARS YOUNGER than his father was when he died (89). Grandpa Sharp was a Louisa County, Virginia farmer who ate lard and fatback and various other foods that would have the vegetarians crying.

My children are 29 (next month), 27 and 24. I taught them to eat as healthy as they could, but not to become paranoid about it.

The moral, boys and girls? WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. I think our way of living just adjusts the years forward or minus a little, not a lot.

I've seen few more eloquent arguments for the universality of concealed carry. A little shooting in self-defense ("He said, 'Get AIDS you bastard as he attacked me, officer.'") might make PETA think twice before being this rude.

Oh come on! Be nice to chickens and play the KFC Cruelty Flash game!

That game was very disappointing. I wanted to see the chickens actually boil when I didn't catch them.

You know, someday some loon is going to pull this stunt on someone with an armed bodyguard, who will promptly fill said loon more full of holes than a Bill Clinton alibi. When questioned by the police after the expired loon's friends kick up a fuss, the bodyguard will shrug and say, "Look, he moved quickly and then my client was covered with blood--what was I supposed to think?" The DA listens to this, thinks about two seconds, and kicks the bodyguard loose, to the accompaniment of the whining of the loon's buddies and loud snickering from around the country. Other VIPs with bodyguards have pointed conversations that night, the contents of which will not be revealed if the police are inclined to question either of them. Results: either a lessened number of loons assaulting people, or a lessened number of loons. Either way, a plus.

If you ever get a chance to talk to a PETA person face to face, ask them why they euthanize stray dogs and cats. It's always fun to hear them say, "Well, because they're sick and they're hungry".

Then you get to say, "So I guess we should just start gassing the homeless as well, right?"

Ahhh... good times.

Making fun of PETA, that is... not gassing the homeless.

While I have a host of issues with PETA, but I really don't see the thoughts in these comments as being anymore well thought or thought as this stunt.

"Mmmm, fried Cruelty."
"I've decided that I loooove animals.....they're delicious! and nutritious too."
"If KFC stands for cruelty, then cruelty's pretty tasty.

Really, this is the best that you can come up with, with such rock solid logic arguments who couldn't agree with you all?

And this is fantastic
"Stop your cryin', Chrissie, they're only chickens!"

It is brainless arguments like this that promoted all sorts of excellent human behavior. There only black people, they’re not human, they are only Jews, and they are just like rats. Really, you figured out how to get online certainly you can do better than this. Ohh wait, you can't. I almost forgot this gem:

"I don't see you over in Iraq trying to save the blood of the children, or in Iran saving the lives of dissidents."

In formal logic, this is called a False Anology. It is a fallacy, a mistake in thought. In addition, it begs the following question. Michele, I don't see you in Iraq or Iran either, does that mean you don't care about what is happening there much like you accuse Crissy Hyde of not caring?

Just Someone,

It's called mocking them. Mocking is not as much fun as beating them with a club, but it's legal.

Just Someone:

While I have a host of issues with PETA, but I really don't see the thoughts in these comments as being anymore well thought or thought as this stunt.

That's because we're making fun of them. This isn't a debate, this is the mocking of these PETA fools.

Really, this is the best that you can come up with, with such rock solid logic arguments who couldn't agree with you all?

Logic? These are jokes. Did the operation to have your sense of humor surgically removed go well?

It is brainless arguments like this that promoted all sorts of excellent human behavior. There only black people, they’re not human, they are only Jews, and they are just like rats.

Umm... OK. Are people here saying that we should eat jewish or black people? No? Then SHUT UP. Making jokes about eating chickens (mmm... delicious chickens) doesn't make one a racist, which seems to be what you're implying...

Really, you figured out how to get online certainly you can do better than this. Ohh wait, you can't.

No, we just enjoy taunting twits like those above. And you can add yourself to the list, oh-humorless-one.

In formal logic, this is called a False Anology. It is a fallacy, a mistake in thought. In addition, it begs the following question. Michele, I don't see you in Iraq or Iran either, does that mean you don't care about what is happening there much like you accuse Crissy Hyde of not caring?

Crissy is a shrieking, fanatic vegetarian who has no problems lashing out against anyone who opposes her worldview. And she probably tastes like shoe leather. Ugh.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to have breakfast. I think I'll fry up some bacon, get some ham out of the fridge, and make an omlette (using eggs from NON-free-range chickens), and put some cheese in it (from poor, exploited cows). But none of those nasty vegetables...

wow, michele! someone compared chickens to the holocaust in your comments! i think that means you're officially famous. you start looking for endorsement deals, while i get a big stick to smack that moron with...

There are a lot of things about PETA that aren't funny - like the founder of the animal rights movement, Dr. Peter Singer, who believes that parents should be free to commit infanticide if their baby is born handicapped...who believes that the life of that child is worth less than the life of a monkey. Then, there's PETA's support of an organized group of arsonists, the Earth Liberation Front, and their claim that the holocaust was nothing compared to what millions of chickens suffer everyday. There is also PETA's general contempt for humanity.

And then there's their contempt for the English language, with their creation of the word speciesist. None of these things are funny. But a side order of stringy Chrissy Hynde on a kaiser roll, that's funny.

Uhh, I didn't call anyone a racist, nor did I say what is happening to chickens is like holocaust. What I said is the rationalizations offered are like those of racists and people who promote genocide. If you would like to rationalize your behavior, maybe you should do it based on something a littler better than superiority/inferiority.

Uhh, I didn't call anyone a racist, nor did I say what is happening to chickens is like holocaust.

You compared saying "they're only chickens" with saying "they're only jews/blacks." The obvious implication is that those who feel that chickens are inferior are the same types of people who might feel that blacks or jews are inferior.

What I said is the rationalizations offered are like those of racists and people who promote genocide.

What a stinking load of horse manure.

THEY... ARE.. CHICKENS!!! There is NO comparison, despite whatever twisted little fantasy world you live in.
Chickens are animals. Black people and jewish people are human beings. Got it?

f you would like to rationalize your behavior, maybe you should do it based on something a littler better than superiority/inferiority.

Again, since you seem a little slow on the uptake, we're talking about CHICKENS. Yes, I am superior in every way to a chicken. Chickens are a valuable source of protein for me, and they taste great to boot.

Would you rather have KFC do it as my grandmother did (my father, who was born in 1917, told me about it)? Cut their heads off with an hatchet, and let them run around in a washtub until they finally flopped over? If you don't want to eat chicken or any other meat, leave us alone. As Evil Otto said, they're chickens. Not humans. There's a slight difference.

Whoa Nellie!

Mmmmmmmmmmmm...

all this talk of chicken is making me hungry. Now I have to make a terrible decision. Should I eat Church's chickens or Popeye's chickens. I like the taste of KFC but they use commie pinko Tyson chicken so will pass on their socialistic poultry. Ooh, but wait, there is a place in Shawnee that uses the KFC recipe but uses larger Pilgrim's Pride fowl. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, all the flavor but much bigger pieces!!!

Elizabeth, your Dad had it almost right. My Dad, also born in 1917, thought it important for this little baby boomer to know how to take a chicken from the hen house to the table. By the time I caught the damn thing, chopping the head off was easy. We let the headless chicken flop around the field, dipped it in hot water, plucked it, burned its pin feathers off, gutted it and cut off its feet. You couldn't tell it from a Tyson's chicken.

Yes, it was a little traumatic for me, but I knew it was motivated by love. You see, Dad went HUNGRY (it was always in capital letters) during the depression and he wanted to make sure I could feed myself. It's amazing how hunger changes your attitude toward food.

Pointing out PETA's theatrics as absurd is a pedestrian task and an simple one even in that echelon of occupation.

The argument that 'there are other things to worry about' is, well, not really an argument in any valid sense...

"Oh, god, you killed my mom!"

"Oh, shut up already, THOUSANDS of moms have been killed in Iraq."

The parenthetic qualities of this proposition for logic are a bit disturbing.

It's also a little self-negating in a sense -- as per your logic it would follow that you should worry about larger humanitarian issues than PETA's lack of grace in the performance arts/semi-direct action realm.

If you follow this line of thinking in pretty much any direction you find lazy thought and callous bravado.

I wonder how those PETA idiots feel about abortions and murder.. oh thats right there only concerned about chickan's rights..

woah i guess it proves that the primitive idiot still exsists and has a political voice in our society..

You know what? IF you dont believe in eating chickan.. fine.. we dont tell you you cant eat corn because there cruelly plucked from their husk and boiled.. I mean come on~!!
