a compendium of links: bill o'reilly
"When you bite the internet it bites back. Hard"
So says Wunderkind in a post about Bill O'Reilly's now infamous tirade against the swilling sewer of the internet.
It's almost an understatement to say that the internet has bitten Bill.
Following is a list of blogger who have taken O'Reilly to task today. It looks like the left and right sides of the blogosphere have finally found something to agree on - Bill O'Reilly is a jerk. The only thing left to see is whether or not this backlash has any impact. (My own entry is here)
I haven't been able to collate all the links out there. If I miss any, please add them in the comments.

Had to go pick up the Big Hair from work and tuned in to O'Reilly.
He was blowing on about SUVs again; our dependence on foreign oil, they're not that safe and...
WAIT!
Did BILL just say they're "bad for the environment, fill the air with pollution and greenhouse gasses and contribute to global warming?"
Yes, yes, he did.

When I first caught O'Reilly's act, I thought the exaggerated pompousness was just part of the show, and not meant to be taken seriously. Over time, though, it does seem to be the real thing. The guy is annoying even when I agree with him...

Me too :)
Dogpile on Bill O'Reilly! The Internet does an end-run around media elites of all kinds.
My two cents:

It's so great when something is so funny and true. I'm reading conservatives whom I used to whince at with a new joy. We will overcome.

Oh, great, finally someone we all can hate and feel good about it. How about just using the remote? And, BTW, he is a jerk.

I posted my two cents' worth as soon as I went from Instapundit to the Talking Head Memo...if I'd waited and read all the other blog posts about O'Reilly, I'd surely have decided I had nothing to add.
Nothing to see here:

You might consider a list of blogs that DIDN'T tear into O'Reilly. It's probably shorter than the one forming here.

do you really want to be identified with the Oreillysucks website? i think not.
O'Reilly has an attitude that you may or may not like, and he obviously has no concept of the internet as an independent news source. But the man has his uses. He makes people get mad - which is a damn good start.

"Hi were a bunch of lemmings. We cannot articulate our own opinions so we gang rape those we disagree with." How eloquent. It amazes me how many blogs contain pages of this brown shirt behavior. Even Bill and Ted had more class than this "Bill sucks" tag "Bill really sucks" tag your it-ism.
Bill O'Reilly has built a following on one of the first (and only) major conservative news networks that has been dominated by liberal bias for the last 40 years. While he is generally conservative in his politics, on social issues he is more centrist. I think he is pompous and out of touch with the percentage of those who don't pull in the serious jack that he does. He is rude to those who he disagrees with. He is just plain wrong on a many issues. That said, I respect him as a person with an opnion who is not afraid to voice it. I don't watch his show any longer, and I tune him out on the radio. But you reckless clan of hootenanies need to learn a little respect, and express a little individuality, otherwise you are worse than even him.

does anyone have bill o'reily's e-mail address?
I just saw an episode, and flipped over to kieth olberman, and the contrast was...inspiring.
I've been skeptical about Olberman since he left ESPN, but his new show has really consolidated itself, and he's my "new chris matthews"!
It goes, of course, without saying that O'Reily is a fascist, on the level of Ashcroft and Cheney, but without the business acumen.
;^)
