button pushing defense

Basically, the Iraqis shoot their anti-aircraft weapons the way I play Street Fighter: Just keep hitting the buttons - something's gotta work eventually.

Ah yes, the "button mashing" technique. I use it when playing any fighting game (Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, etc).

Unfortunately, I usually win when I do that. I hope Saddam's controller breaks.

I don't get it.
One would think that, after the end of the LAST war, they would have had a little sitdown with the gunners.
"Okay, now NEXT time we---?"
"Wait until we have a target before we fire."
"And we do NOT-- ?"
"Shoot randomly in the air like asshats and hope a plane flies into our bullets."
"Gooooood !"
