saturday music: and now for something completely different

Apparently not everyone liked my choice of music last night, so I'm offering something more on the mellow side today.

Portishead: Only You

We suffer everyday, what is it for These crimes of illusion, are fooling us all And now I am weary and I feel like I do

It's only you, who can tell me apart
And it's only you, who can turn my wooden heart

The size of our fight, it's just a dream
We've crushed everything I can see, in this morning selfishly
How we've failed and I feel like I do

It's only you, who can tell me apart
And it's only you, who can turn my wooden heart

Now that we've chosen to take all we can
This shade of autumn, a stale bitter end
Years of frustration lay down side by side

And it's only you, who can tell me apart
And it's only you, who can turn my wooden heart

It's only you, who can tell me apart
And it's only you, who can turn my wooden heart

Better?

BTW, the video for Only You is one of my most favourite videos ever. It's a Chris Cunningham video and as usual, he did a really good job with it. (But it's kinda funny because he shot the video under water and they had to digitally remove the lead singers snot bubbles.)

Portishead! How fabulous! My esteem for you just went up a notch (and I didn't think it could go up any more).

Much Better - I like the music and the lyrics, but what's with Chip 'n Dale in the background? ;)

I prefer Glory Box, but any Portishead is still far superior to the crap you'll hear on any given radio station.

And I liked your musical choices from last night, too. Just easy that way, I guess.

not better, just as good!

Thanks for the musical interlude!

BTW, I've caught your trolls. They're more annoying than herpes, and just as pointless.

Interesting....good vocalist. Thanks Michele.

my ex girlfriend and I used to listen to that album to sleep to all the time, with the air conditioning on too high....I'm married now and it's in the past, but the memories will live on.
