valentine's poetry contest: winner

Congratulations to Doggerel Pundit for winning the Valentine's Day Poetry Contest with this little ditty:

Last minute wire, Saddam to Mubarak

Roses are red,
My cous-cous is sticky.
Small compound near Cairo?
I wouldn't be picky.

An undetermined prize is forthcoming.

Of course, I considered this a contest for unpublished poets, so I didn't enter mine.

Thank you Michele, and my thanks to your panel of fine judges.

I await--in the classic sense--your pleasure!
