look for the stripper label

The women of the Lusty Lady Theater in San Francisco have ratified their union contract [Exotic Dancers Union, a chapter of the Service Employees International Union, Local 790.]

In their honor, a new version of Look for the Union Label jingle has been written:

Look for the union label
when you are giving your dollars for tips.

Remember somewhere a stripper’s dancing,
our wages go into her g-string, and other spots.

They look great, so who's complaining?
Thanks to Strippers my wife’s still around!

So always look for the Stripper label,
it says they’re able to shake it in the U.S.A.!

$27.00 an hour? That's ALL they get paid?? Oh..well, I forget to add tips! LOL! Good for those stipper unionists! This should be very encouraging for future strippers concerned about protecting their rights as clothes-removing laborers raises fist in the air POWA TO THE STRIPPAS!

There's an interesting documentary about the unionization of the Lusty Lady, called "Live Nude Girls, Unite!", made by some of the women behind the unionization push. It shows up on HBO sometimes.

That's the song Al Gore claimed his mommy sang him as a kid, wasn't it?

This one isn't mine, I'm just quoting from somewhere:

Look for the Union labia.

Lusty Lady = peepshow = no tips.

I can't tell - are you against strippers unionizing?

I don't care either way, Jessica. I just thought the song was funny.

$27 an hour to do a peepshow? i'm in the wrong business!

Does the union apply to you if you are an independect contractor? My friends and are work in a club where the tipout is $90 on the weekend, we have a million of fines that we have to pay, and we have strict schedules. We really just want a little respect and some leadway? Is there any thing we can do?
