Thanks, Santa
Look for him to start a comedy career in which he does nothing but mock himself. Think about it, he has an endless source from which to draw on. And really, what else can he do? Make Pepsi commercials with Shakira?
So let's start the betting pool now. Who will be the Dems' sacrificial lamb?

Howard Dean, MD, Gov-Vermont
Check him out
Him and McCain would be impressive

Howard Dean was so good you had to mention him twice??
Sorry, Gore can only make fun of himself for so long...then again, he HAS been doing it for over two years now...But really, that was all just to keep himself in the public eye so he could run again....not that he's not going to...what's he gonna do???
I'm still in shock.

Unless the Republicans figure out what the hell they're doing fast -- both on Lott and on the "war on terror" (is there a war? I keep forgetting, apparently like some other people with far more responsibility than I have) -- don't be so sure that it will be a "sacrificial lamb." He may just turn out to be the victor.
I myself wouldn't assume anything on that score at this point.

Mr Silber has it right - Is there a war on terror? In spite of the tough talk after 9-11, we let scuds go to Yemen! Someone suggested we should have gotten the crew off, and blasted the boat in front of cameras.

I was counting on gore running. It would have been big fun. Plus since Bush has been in office he has completely wrecked the environment. Its utterly ruined. And it only took 2 years.....

Yeah, the enviroment is destroyed. The neighbors damn cottonwood poplar didn't drop it's leaves until the night before the first snow so now there's some spots by the back fence where leaves are matted under the snow and I just know the grass is going to die.

Gore won't run, wisely, because he knows he can't win. Plus he has no support with the DLC. This way, Gore can wait 4 years (Bush will win again), then run in 2008. Who are the Dems going to field then? Hilary? Gore will make an attractive candidate in 2008 after a 2004 race in which Gary Hart/Dick Gephardt/Tom Daschle/Joe Blow gets pasted by George W.

Right on Mr Wagner. All holy hell is breaking loose here ,too. The squirrels are whipping persimmons at the dog and he's scared shitless also.

If Hilary runs, and god forbid, wins, I'm moving to New Zealand. Wanna go with me Michele?

I'm moving to Middle Earth.

(LOL)
Screw Liddie... Hillary vs. CONDI!! (If she goes for it, tho' it doesn't look like it.) The Dems' heads would implode... I guess she would be an "Uncle Tomasina"?? Or would that be Aunt Tomasina?--- oh well, just your general House Slave.

I haven't got a clue, but, if the Democrats are gonna get themselves heard over a loud, rallying warcry, then they probably need something more enticing than The Robot From Lost In Space and his mad all-censoring 'won't somebody think of the children' spouting, overly-laquered harpie companion.
Unless the party's thinking of campaigning on a 'run away with the circus' ticket.

I think the "loud, rallying warcry" you hear is actually from the media. I have seen both Bush and Cheney speak in person within the last 2 months and only Cheney touched on the subject that if Iraq no longer complies, sanctions will not do and other measures will be taken to remove him. The "warcry" is mostly a portrayal of the media saying that Bush is ''warcry......warcrying." Its a fact that the only thing the press focuses on is a possible strike in Iraq. Its liberal strategy and from what I read, its working.
