Overturned before it even becomes law. The earth is still flat for many...

Mothers, I hold you somewhat responsible for many of the ideas these nitwits hold: you raised these morons, train them right & perhaps we'd have less of this lunacy - just a thought...

You know what? How about we just cut you fucking know-it-all males off completely, eh? No nookie, no baby, no worries. Get used to a sock, your right hand and the latest gonzo from Vivid, gentlemen...the Pussy Pantry is closed.

Well, between this and the Trent Lott Fiasco, I see the Republicans are well on their way to totally squandering their victory in November.

Idiots. Idiots. Idiots.

They don't call it "the Stupid Party" without reason.

Ouch, seki, I guess a simple screw you too would be too far off point - correct? :) Seriously, is it all a male:bad, female:good deal with you? All I meant to suggest is that mothers typically play the most intimate and immediate role in a child's life. Is is not legitimate to wonder why we ALL end up so screwed up? Hum Teach The Children Well as you scan, or not, this nonsense...

I'm not buying it, Dave. Are you saying that anti-abortion activists are all that way because their mothers screwed them up? You're going to have to cite statistics to prove that one to me.

Dave, my pet, that is the biggest load of misogynistic bullshit I have ever clapped eyes on. I ignored your first comment, assumed it was off the cuff, as was mine about the Pussy Pantry. But you seem to really believe that mothers, ALL mothers, are to blame for every human dysfunction known to man. Are you truly this naive or just trolling for attention?

Wow, I can't believe people are still so ignorant in this day and age.

Yet another reason to not live in Georgia, as Kim just said to me.

Although I find abortion personally abhorrent, I also feel I have no right to force this belief on others. After all, I have no intention of agreeing to raise a woman's child should she agree to carry it to term. Here is what I propose as the logical counterpoint to the "death warrant" anti-abortion ninnies:
So, you don't want a woman to have an abortion? Okay, fine. YOU pay--out of your own damned pocket, mind you--for ALL her pre-natal care, no matter how expensive it is. YOU pay for the delivery at a hospital of her choice. And then YOU agree to raise the kid with no-fucking-what-so-ever hand-out from ANY federal or state agency.
I ask you, how many anti-abortion advocates would agree to these conditions?
I won't hold my breath...

Sekimori, you wouldn't close any pantry upon seeing this! Who are you kidding?

Dave has a point. He is just forgetting about those other mothers who raise misogynists boys who help perpetuate sexist beliefs.

This STUNT will go nowhere. 82% of Americans are in favor of some form of abortion. Abortion ain't going anywhere, it is simply a political money making strategy for BOTH parties.

That being said, late term abortions, and teen abortions that do not require parental notification have to go.

Cool board all, but get with it!

I s'pose I should feel shocked by this, but all I thought of was what a great tv show it would make. Sort of a cross between Judge Judy and American Idol. Let the audience vote on the action, too. Call it, I don't know, "Should my baby live?"

One look at some of the prospective parents and the audience will be clicking the Darwin button. Maybe even let one lucky audience member adopt the kiddo if the verdict is thumbs up.

Totally inappropriate, I know, but sometimes you just gotta laugh...

Totally off the given subject, but:

"Get used to a sock, your right hand and the latest gonzo from Vivid, gentlemen...the Pussy Pantry is closed."

You have just described my Social Life better than any Phone Psychic ever could, Sekimori.

One thing though. . . I've done plenty of wacking off in my time boy howdy - but what's the sock for?

It's all a conspiracy to revive the back alley illegal abortion industry.

Seems like the Anti choice forces are getting more and more desperate.

Publicity stunts like this will pop up more and more often till the idiots who tend to sponsor these bills realize that their mandate doesen't include extending their extreme version of morality on their constituency.

That's just sick. I agree, it's gotta be a publicity stunt.

And LOL @ andrea's comment.

what is the sock for?

I actually gagged when I saw that shit. Makes my ire rise......but, then again, what do you expect from people on the losing end of a battle? Desperate people do desperate things. Including trying to promote pure idiocy.

The sock is for wrapping around your eyes. So you don't go blind while you do it. I'm surprised you haven't heard of this old superstition...millions of guys masturbate with their eyes protected by a sock. You have to be careful it's a clean sock, though. Also, it makes it a little difficult to see where you're "shooting", but that's a small price to pay for that excellent 20/20 (or better!) vision.

For those wondering about the sock, this may help explain:

Nerf Herder, "Doin' Laundry"
Knee-high!
Argyle!
Tube!
I was thinking of you while I jerked off into my sock last night
I was thinking of you while I jerked off into my sock
I was thinking of you
I wish I had more than two
Cuz I didn't have anything else to do
I was thinking of you while I jerked off into my sock

But you seem to really believe that mothers, ALL mothers, are to blame for every human dysfunction known to man.

Huh. I thought that was common knowledge.

I think that boys who grow up hating women probably learned that more from their fathers than their mothers. Watching a misogynist father shit on your mother for 18 years would have that affect.

Ehh, I'll bet that some boys grow up hating their mothers when their mother, for whatever reason, are misandrists. Having somebody begrudingly support your life while expressing constant contempt for your sex probably has a similar effect, Kim.

Oh, and forget that pro-choice shit. Some of those idiot legislators in Georgia have the wrong idea. Back alley abortions are barbarous. Pro-choice only supports sub-standard abortion care.
(Huh?)

The answer, weak willed pro-choice advocates, is unilateral abortions for all. A moratorium on non adoptive child raising would do the world immesurable good.

After five years time, I would support a reevaluation on the condition of the world. I only wish that I was allowed the option of stopping the world before "getting on". I know of many who would have taken advantage of that choice, and saved much time and resources before eventually remitting to suicide. The major long-term losses to society I can contemplate mostly contribute the the world of art, which is usually underfunded anyway.

Eh, perhaps a bit of a pallitave here - in case you aren't already irrevocably alienated. Mothers aren't responsible for the crap, they are just the vehicles. Single parents, and even nuclear families aren't sufficient for rasing a youth in a proper society. The answer, is a community family. The problem, is finding a community that isn't full of nit-wits, authoritarians, and loveless sadists. Of course abortion can only be a partial solution to this greater condition.

Until such time as "society's ills" don't outweigh medical ills, I fully support abortion as a stopgap solution. Furthermore, I support Capital Punishment for all self proclaimed "Pro-Life" factions who support the Death Penalty.

Ehh, I hope this doesn't hurt my future in the Republican party. -castlan

p.s.
Is it really worthwhile to stain your socks?

Mea Culpa, Mea Maxima Culpa (my fault & the brandy) I apologize, especially to Sekimori, for my brain fart of last night. I had skimmed the article & then lost track of what it had said. My comment about Mothers relates to something that puzzles me about the misogynistic attitudes of such people as in radical Islam. I truly don't understand why their bonds with their mothers, and surely they form, don't translate into a general respect for women?
That's it, it had nothing to do with the story and I'm not going to comment again after drinking (even though it does seem to work for Michele :))

(Warning: the following question is intended in a satirical way. Please do not take seriously.)

If abortion is the medical term for any termination of an unborn child, fetus, or embryo, then would this law permit the court to prosecute people who miscarry (naturally abort) to be hauled up for manslaughter?

(BTW, I noticed the person who thought this up was a man.....bet he's never had the worry or paranoia about getting raped or being pregnant when your blood pressure is waaay off and you have other threatening illnesses to deal with.)

You know what is so tiresome about the abortion debate? BOTH sides claim the moral high ground. I am beginning to think we should go with mandatory birth control, 'big brother' and 'right to control my own body' comments notwithstanding. Abortions would be cut down to nearly nothing if they got girls on the pill when they have their first period, and boys should get the monthly shot in the arm when they hit puberty. Considering they start at such a young age these days, contraception needs to start early too. And as far as those pro-lifers who are afraid of encouraging kids to have sex, get over it. They are gonna have sex despite your feelings on the matter, and if it is a 'moral' issue for you chew on this: By your conscience, knowing that you are NOT going to be able to force kids to stop having sex, how can you justify protesting something which would stop the pregnance before it becomes a choice of life and death?

This debate will not end until some sort of compromise is reached. And it is only a matter of time before fanatics on BOTH sides start acting like the muslims, christians, and hindus in India.

Personally, I'm all for abortion (notice i didn't use the phrase 'pro-choice', since this is my opinion and im not looking for the moral high ground or some empty form of approbation). There are too many people in the world. More are arriving all the time. At some point, it's going to become a problem. Therefore, i'm in favour of giving people the opportunity not to bring a child into the world if they don't feel up to the task, or if it was forced on them through rape or suchlike....yada, yada, yada. you all know the goddamn arguments...

Again it's a question of people attempting to judge others until they fall in line with their personal moral views. Choice is only considered as one between right and wrong, not as two options, and therefore some feel that others should be saved from the opportunity to damn themselves in the eyes of others. One thing: if people are so enthused about the sanctity of life, and the precious nature of human existence (bearing in mind that we, as a species, pretty much slaughter every other species for fun or food, but regard life rather differently when applied to our own), then why worry about the unborn? go feed the homeless, the poor, the abused, and the hungry. They're not as cute and photogenic as children, but hey, if you're gonna make the point...

You know what? How about we just cut you fucking know-it-all males off completely, eh? No nookie, no baby, no worries. Get used to a sock, your right hand and the latest gonzo from Vivid, gentlemen...the Pussy Pantry is closed.

Well, that would end the abortion problem too, now wouldn't it? And the population problem, come to think of it.

Seems idiotic knee-jerk reactions are not limited to abortion foes.

It seems the reactions of humorless, stick-up-their-ass-having motherfuckers are not limited either.

I agree with Sekimori. Masturbation is by far the most effective way to prevent abortion, works every time 100%. I masturbate -- and with no blindfold. I like to look at a picture of a beautiful woman and have a good fantasy. I'd rather have a good fantasy than a not-so-good reality.

Abortions would be cut down to nearly nothing if they got girls on the pill when they have their first period, and boys should get the monthly shot in the arm when they hit puberty.

amen to that. and keep them on it if they're on any kind of state support income. but you get to tell the catholics.
